The Europeans are more focused on driving than anything else. Take notice none of them text and drive, talk on the cellphone or any of that stuff. I have an Audi myself, and their cupholders are SHITTY because they believe you are in the car to drive, Not have your breakfast or anything like that.
Speed does kill, but it only kills the one who does not put 100 percent focus into the driving.
@justNast I don't need a cup holder, i don't use it nor do i eat and drive. I was pretty much saying the cup holder is shitty because Audi has to know that the true drivers who purchase their cars don't use it ;) haha
I have yet to see one here in Upstate NY. I have seen two Gallardo's though and since they share the same V10 I have an idea of how the R8 V10 sounds. You don't realize how loud these cars are until you hear them in person!
You see tons of BMW's, Mercedes and Audi of various models in Germany, unlike here in the USA or Canada.
What freaks me out here in North America is that we are still driving at 55 mph (90 kph) to 75 mph (122 kph) on our freeways. It's like we drive in the dark ages here in North America.
Speed kills, bullshit.............it's your lousy driving skills that kill, plain and simple.
(the term "speed kills" is from your grandfathers era)
@EinSturm I dont understand the reason why speeds are so low in the USA. Slow driving causes more accidents that higher speeds. We we're doing a constant 170 to 180km/h in this movie, normal speeds in Germany. I live in Holland, max. speed on highways here is 120km/h
I understand why the speeds are so slow in the USA and Canada.
It's simple, we are driving in the "dark ages" here. The fatality rate in the USA and Canada is much higher than in Europe on the highways. If you spend all your time worrying about your speed and looking at your speedometer, you are not spending your time concentrating on your driving, plus you fatigue much faster as driving becomes stressful.
@EinSturm Totally agree. The thing is... That In Europe, people are more "mature" generally speaking. For example: You know drugs kill you right? It's your fault if you abuse them, you're free to do as you please -Amsterdam. You know that if you drive like a lunatic you will die too right? Drive how you please -Germany. Whereas in the U.S. people are treated like little children, "NO this" "NO that" "NO" NO "NO".

Amazing how fast the current crop of super cars can accelerate. Are these a common sight on the Autobahn?
