im 16, never heard a show with jerry.

saw furthur last year and completly fell in love. yes, its different without jerry, but he is still there and you can feel his energy in everyone. i love the frequency everyones on at the shows

I went to 4 shows this time, and loved each one. My 1st time was seeing them at Woodstock in the shitty rain. After that I was hooked on watching them perform live, inside or outside. There is no time better spent than attending a Dead show, then-now-and forever. God Bless The Grateful Dead!

I paid $35 for my lawn tickets for this Thursday's Shoreline show. You don't have to pay $100 to be at the show. If you have to be up front in these venues then go right ahead and pay $100.

One more thing black930t, in 1979 a gallon of gas was 80 cents, a concert ticket was about $10. Through the 80's I never paid more than $25 to see a Dead show. Can you tell me on that basis that everything costs 10 times more than in 1979 or even 4 times more than in the early 80's? I think not, I've made my point.

As far as charging $100 for a ticket I'll say this:

A lot of poor man make a $5 bill, keep him happy all the time, some of the fella's makin' nothin' at all, and you can hear him cry" It's hard times for a lot of folks right now, and this was not the time to gouge your fans. Shame on you. As far as tickets for charity, that's great. If someone gave me a miracle tick I'd turn around and sell it for what it's worth, $50, then give that to charity. I will NEVER pay to see them out of principle
