@DoomEgg Longer than 15 minute intervals. There is very few ships there so I was doing 28 minutes mainly. I don't know why 28 minutes worked well but it worked.
Closer to shipping chanels etc I do 20 minutes and if I see something it will be a 10 or even 5 minute kip till they get closer. :)
There's another solar panel on the other side of the boat giving 2 x 120 watts so I never need to run the engine to make electricity :)
@OurLifeAtSea Cool man. I am looking into the coastal cruising/ live-aboard lifestyle, myself. I love the autonomy of it all. These vids are a great inspiration. I am hoping to be completely resource independent as well. I figure, a sailboat, solar panel and batteries, a bag of rice, a fishing pole, and a watercone desalinator and I am set for life. LOL.
