And most of the old people (the Romanians, because they're the only ones alive) remember stories of how the life was much more fair and plentiful during the Austrian rule, so the only thing you should wonder is why Romanians would think that. Or maybe you should deport them as well.
I was born and raised in Radauti and I can tell you this: the Jews were devoted citizens, who invested a lot of money into building that city. Jews never supported Communists because they cherished private property, that's just a shallow racist excuse. Antonescu only destroyed the life and future of almost half the population for no reason. Shame on you for justifying his acts.
Well that is the problem: they thought of themselves as Jews first and Romanians second. In fact, they probably thought of themselves as Russians second and Romanians third. How could Antonescu trust these people on the eve of war? He couldn't, and that is why they were deported. Otherwise they would have been a Soviet 5th column.

Sinagoga din Radauti, considerata monument istoric, se degradeaza, fara ca cineva sa ia masuri si sa impiedice acest lucru.Pacat!

Mi-am recunoscut bunicul in acest clip, a fost un soc, daca nu e prea mult spus tinand cont ca nu mai e in viata din 1998.
