this music is too "lord of the ring" like, it totally lacks the nostalgia and timelessness of previous Heroes (especially H3 town and battle themes and H4 map themes). it sounds like random, unisnpired orchestral stuff and honestly, can't remember a single theme from H5.

Well, many people are too sentimental to Heroes III and prejudiced to V to appreciate it... The music should match the story and climate, it certainly does. Well, now in the other hand, I can't remember any theme from III besides the menu music... Matter of taste, though my taste is very wide and includes both melancholic melodies and powerful orchestral parts. Well, if you don't like the "Lord of the Rings" style, then you won't like it anyway, simple.

The majority didn't like it, so thats quite unlikely. Check out Age of Wonders for a TBS with heroes as active combat units.

the only good thing about 4 was that you could have multiple heroes in an army and they were the most interactive they've been in the series. apart from that, it was shit compared to 3 and 5 IMO. ps im not the one who thumbed u down lol.

How in the .... can i change combat modes in battle like: I dont want to shoot with my Assasins i want to hit my foe with melee atk?

Even title has been translated wrong - "Kuźnia Przeznaczenia" , that means "Forge of Destiny".

I love what they've done with the music for Homm 5... I think it's my favourite out of all of them (and I've played all of them... experienced Homm player since the age of five :p ), but Homm3 is still pretty good.

Sorry, just to clarify, I meant that I think I like the music for Homm5 better than the music for the rest of them. I love the Haven theme... but game play wise, I prefer Homm3. :)

Yea, I really like Heroes 3. The hex grid they used in battles are really strategic.

Music wise, I'd say both are equally as good. Academy, Haven Combat Music are my favorites and Stronghold, Fortress, Rampart from HOMM 3.
