Hellho, let me say that´s a great video, just have one question to you, Those VIVA films, where do you find them, i just bought a polaroid to my girlfriend, but i can´t find type 88 films anymore. Can you help me?? Or theres not any solution? Thnk you!
@mccreadygossard thank you for the comment. You look for squared format peel apart film. they are all TYPE 80 Film. there are many different iso of type 80:
84, 89, 88, 87, 90...etc
the only way is to buy old stocks from ebay (if they're available)
check my blog post i've writed about super rare type 80 films :)
i want a camera that produces instant film and does cool affects but isn't too complicated. is this a good camera for me or should i just stick with a normal polaroid?
@xDreww04x hi, holga is all manual; i think if you want an easy click an film camera you can choose a polaroid 600 AF (autofocus). it works with Impossible Projects film too :)
@xDreww04x it depends on what you want. Earlier comment you mention that u're looking for cool effects. Polaroid 300 doesnt offer that b'coz it's just another fuji instax rebrand to polaroid (polaroid licensed them). Polaroid no longer produce film(except the new 300) but u can use impossible project ones but they are still in experimentation phase so expect to see some fail results. If u know how to store the pics, u can keep them for a long time. Plus it is abit overpriced too.
When you pull the white tab out, the picture comes out under it? Whenever i pull out my white slip, the picture follows it right out of the same slot. Does this mean i put my film in wrong? Because all of my pictures have come out wonky.
@TheOrangeCrayon132 Hi. Are two different modes to open and impress the film. N is normal mode: a single click for a shot. B is for Bulb mode for long exposure shot (night, no flash). Look here: squarefrog. co.uk /basics/bulb-switch.html
@HelloKorii depends, id go holga over lomo diana f+ because the holga is a whole lot more sturdy. but if you can get your hands on an old diana by all means do it, my old diana f from the 60's has taken all my best pictures!
@TheKomucit the holgaroid back load type 100 (8x10 cm) and type 80 film (like VIVA 90 Color). The old version of holga back loads only type 80 (8x8 cm).
I have a Holga, but unfortionatly without Holgaroid back, and i will save up to get one, developing 120 film takes about 35-40mins to do, including drying time. and about 3-5 mins to make a good print in the darkroom.
with this, the pros are odvious, go on holiday, and up on the mountain or wherever. you can see the results.
hello! i wonder why after i press on the shutter.. it didnt take any picture.. like when i pull it out it didnt show any images like ur video.. i pulled the light proof paper out.. aww i wasted 3 films already.. i dont know what to do now :(
nightshot without flash or indoor shot with artificial ambience light ---> B long exposure (3 seconds to 1 minute exposure, need to block the shutter to expose the film)
i'm sorry for the dumb question...but wat's the thing called at0:44?? and where can i get it? i mean... just that thing individually. can i? because i already had a holga cfn 120...i just want tt thing so i can attach to my holga...

@tckychang type 80 and 100 films are multi-iso available (80, 100. 1500, 3000, Black and white...)
try with flash or long exposure shots.

@rorrt holga with 120 is great.
it's awesome that you develop your films by yourself.
fabfabtube 1 year ago
@fabfabtube
Yeah, at home, or in my college, more likey i develop at home.
Though i have taken to scanning and doing a hybrid film on photoshop thing, though i always think its cheating.
but my sights are on a holgaroid back.
(i also shoot on a Lomo Lubitel 120 sized TLR) its amazing, for about £40 i spent its worth it.
rorrt 1 year ago
@rorrt yes, i try to do the same. when i scan from film never cross process with photoshop :)
Lomo Lubitel is a great camera too!

It's not a dumb questions. There are some stores online that sell it. Look fot "Holga Instant back" or "Polaroid back for Holga" on Google.
U also need a lens adaptor and a film filter for vignetting reduction (they're in the instant back pack)
