Agreed. Stock 280Zs are good for 130+mph. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what they're talking about. I hit 132mph in mine on the highway with a passenger on board and a full tank of gas after a tune-up and a 130mph on-car wheel balancing at Gran Turismo. I legged it out for a long time and it definitely didn't have anymore than that, but 130mph? Yes indeed.
i use to do 130 most of the length of the PA turnpike Northeast extension every weekend coming home. I had a 1976 280z with nothing modified. After about 5 minutes the oil pressure would drop and it would heat up a bit. Let off it and cruise about 80 to cool it down, then go 130 again until it protested once more.
Yup i have a 78 280Z and 130, is about all she had stock, but now the new engine should push me way farther than that.
