i agree with hkbm45. this is a luxury 2 door coupe. its not low on the ground like some lambo. its a luxury car and its a coupe so its got a big engine cuz it wont be right not to be able to push on the gas pedal and not get speed with a bentley or a bmw 7 series or s class or a rolls royce or maybach or all the luxury cars. but it doesnt mean its made to race. no thats wrong. its made for cruising, thats what a bentley is for. and of course while cruising, u cud freak abit behind the wheel fast

Ive driven numerous Continental GTs. They are extraordinarily nice cars. It seems some people are mistaken on their purpose though. Its not a sports car, or a racing car. Its a luxury car that is intended to be fast, but not in a racing sort of way. Speed is secondary to luxury and comfort. Its a car to be seen in and to show off your financial success, not a car to win races or enjoy at track days.

When you understand its purpose, you can understand the car.

There's a lot of, particularly young (or so it seems), people who seems to be living in a videoracinggame paradigma.

They think that a car only is good when it's fast... and that you can make a list of how good a car is by sending them all around a track and listing them from faster to slower.

I'm not pretentious.. haven't got a dime yet since I'm studying.. but a Continental GT would suit me and my drivingstyle exceptionally well. I hope it'll also suit me financially lol.

I'm saying that young people (mostly) seem to think that a car is only as good as how fast it can go around a track. That's a bunch of bullshit. Trackspeed isn't what some cars are designed for, yet it's the measuringtape that a lot of people use.

My '07 Flying Spur has a 6.0L W12 550hp engine and does 0-60mph in about 5 seconds. It also has settings to give it a sport feel. It can be lowered with its air suspension and you can adjust gear change. It's plenty sporty and powerful while being the most graceful car I've ever owned.
