  • Like the music. However, Massai culture is pastoral and resistant to cultural change (and not in Tanzania). The exploitation of this culture for personal benefit is not right.

  • @mscrossjr If you knew anything about X Plastaz you would know that there has never been a hip hop group in Tanzania dedicated to the preservation of culture and resistance to the materialistic culture that exists in hip hop more than them. The fact that some of these guys are actually Masaai renders the point about culture exploitation pointless since all they are doing is exhibiting their culture to the world

  • Probably my fave track by my fave African hip-hop group! I'm a Welshman living in Georgia, USA. I also like Gidi Gidi Maji Maji and I saw Mabulu live - they're excellent - like a Mozambican Arrested Development - in that, like AD, they have members from in their 20s to in their 70s!

  • I saw these kids perform live in a park in Maastricht in 2001. They were great! I found their album a few years later---it's a must for any rap aficianado. They've never toured the U.S., but I wish they would!
