@xLrelapse112 I mean thornton got a goal in this game if I'm not mistaken, and has gotten a few others so you can't really call him a goon. Besides, he can actually contribute to the team in other ways than fighting, goons imo are players that are just out there to fight and can't do anything else....

@Rycon182 I think Thornton CAN contribute more, which is why this type of fighting pisses me off. I don't like this type of fighting from anyone, its a couple minutes into the game and they just want to get it over with. It does nothing for the game at that point, they make the game look bad because there is a real time and place for fights and this is not it.

@Rycon182 not really, although the score was blowout, the devils went on to score their only goal after this. I doubt any momentum from a meaningless fight would carry over 3 periods. Its not like this is a rivalry or these guys dont like each other, that fight generated absolutely no momentum. this was just a dumb fight

Shawn Thornton has been great this year. Early in the season when the B's were struggling he had to go through a LOT of fights trying to fire up his club.
