  • Great shooting and great video's BRT..please keep putting them on Utube..:)

  • 300 WIN.MAG. I would stay that's a center fire. ...I live in WV U.S.A. and you can shoot dear. Bear. with that round.or targets on paper.

  • Do these Berger 190's work so much better in comparison than say Sierra's or Hornady's etc? Thanks,Rich in S.C.-USA

  • @MichaelRich53

Absolutely. Actually we will be using the new 200gr Berger Hybrids now in our new barrels.

  • Nice shooting there buddy i still prefer the 50 power smidt , do you notice a lot of mirage above 40 x power

  • @1967spud

Yeah Spud when mirage gets bad I am down to 50x. But never below that. I like the Schmidt too but this is equal at 50x and then goes all the way to....80x

Have a look at one of my other videos which is in HD mode. It's called "March 80x scope" on my youtube channel, BRT Shooters Supply. Make sure you click "fullscreen" which will force load HD mode and the resolution is better. A little mirage at the beginning but at the end of the video you will be surprised.

    Stuart

  • What are you using for a front rest? It looks interesting.

  • @avandelay2

It's a Farley Co-Ax joystick front rest that I internally modified to handle the 40 lb gun.

  • good stuff champ got the bolt removal and fresh round in a bloody clean movment

  • I'm a Nightforce guy but thats a damn fine scope, clear even through an I-phone.

  • wouldnt this gun be illegal in australia?

  • @TheSgtJellyfish

Of course not. Lots of shooting of all types over here. In 1996 after that massacre in Tasmania they banned semi auto rifles and shotguns only. That was all. All bolt action and most pumps are OK, Auto Pistols are club use only

  • @BRTshooterssupply but dont you need a better liscense to buy guns that shoot bigger bullets? but how did u get hold of that gun? can it only stay at the club or do you live on a farm where rimfire rifles arent good enough (it looks like a centerfire)?

  • how much do you pay for that march ?? :P

  • @vinyvinyboy

About $3700 Aussie dollars. About the same in US dollars. Google March scopes Australia

  • When the bolt is removed, the casing is stuck(?) on the bolt, how does that happen?

  • @RossMichaelNelson No ejector.

  • @RossMichaelNelson

The bolt has a Sako style extractor and NO ejector rod

  • How many shots you get to a barrel in 300 Win Mag?

  • Excellent video. Beautiful rifle, magnificent scope. I want one of them!

  • i'm presuming this is just to zero the rifle?

  • The bolt is completely removed to speed up operation on this particular action style. It is an old custom action and the port on the RH side is not large enough to eject the 300 Win Mag case through therefore I choose to completely remove the bolt. As you can see the system works fast enough.

  • God bless... Australia! :)

  • Why is the bolt being removed instead of normal side ejection?

  • Sweet rifle. Keep the vids coming!

  • Fantastic scope! I'd like to hear more about your scope.

  • @1LonePuma . go to marchscopes website, Australia (au)

  • That's a crazy action system you got there

  • I have a lot of trouble respecting benchrest shooters, maybe becuase I see it to be a bit to easy, or being ex military we had a 10X and nothing more and we could still group at 1000 to a silver dollar at 1000 yards with a .308 (federal match 168)

I think thats probably why, I have tried benchresting, won a few and lost interest and went back to long ranch in prone with my mates, but i have to say 1000 with easy grouping takes an effort, well done

  • Yes, the bullets are Moly coated. Video doesn't focus too well on them

  • Are those bullets moly coated?

  • perk, fast reload ;p

  • I want to know what kind of rest your using. That's pretty cool!

  • This bolt action was made in 1993 for a smaller calibre cartridge (6mmPPC) so the port in the side is too small to eject 300 Win Mag cases. I use a new bolt (Magnum) and the 300 WM barrels now so have no choice but remove the bolt to eject each case. It may look unusual but you can see it is effective and as fast as modern actions with spring ejectors

  • Holy crap not bad eye relief considering its 80x

wierd action that you have to remove the bolt each round though Ive never seen that before, well once actually but that was on a vid for a .50 cal

  • well, hooray for 300 win mag. Wicked nice shooting and scope Mate.

  • Thanks Stuart,nice video.Keep them coming please.

  • ditto

  • Great video, very good quality for a phone and interesting to watch.
