Great video. I have never been one to wear a lot of makeup. Not that I didn't want to at times. But it always seems like it takes so much work and I want to get lots done in a day.
I do like manicure and pedicure, for the mere pleasure. But not much for nail polish. It is spoily for once a year or two.
I am not much for fashion, but dressing in clean well kept clothes is good.

This is honestly an answer to my prayer. It is my faith to wear skirts and headcoverings as well and it is very hard. Especially when high school people can act like highschool kids... I wish more women from all religions would wear the head-covering. I have noticed the makeup and clothes thing among pastors wives and just women in general among religions.
As for everyone else, you shouldn't be worried to be mistaken for a muslim. If someone asks you, just say that you are a Christian and following the Bible as it was written.

Ok...Ok...if a woman wishes to wear a scarf for religious or modesty motive, why not use a Chanel, Ferragamo, etc. scarf with lot of nice design on it. It still remains modest, but it would be more attractive and good looking than those horrible white scarf. Don't you think so?

Nicely written sister, however I think you can be modest and still feel beautiful on the outside. We can still wear makeup get our nails done ect. Just wear them in a natural way. Veiling does protect women from further exploitation of their bodies, however, veiling does not have to take away our femininity or beauty.

I really have felt led to wear less makeup and not think that I have to conform to some standard that someone else set up for me and told me I had better stick to or other people will reject me. Its sad how many women loathe themselves if they don't fit that standard, and so many even Christian women are there to pressure them to conform.

I love scarves too, but im no muslim. I'm attracted at the cultural, it's so exotic, and they get to wear scarves, and i bought a hijab and i like it, one reason why i wear mine's it's becuz im to lazy to style my hair, another, it has me to be sincere, another, so many colors to choose from, russian women before islam used to wear scarves and long dresses but they werent muslim.
exactly, I am Nigerian and our traditional dressing has us covering up our bodies and our hair. so i don't see the problem with modesty as it is viewed in the west

It seems to have the least amount of corruption and from my knowledge the Qur'an hasn't been altered like the Bible has. I can really respect Islam for that. However, extremists are still a problem. i have a question becasue i find this topic to be very intersting and helpful to me as someone who strives to be a good christian. My wife, whom I'm praying for, I would love to follow this biblical truth, can you reccomend something to read to help her in her walk, as she is new , very new.
The best thing you can do is get into a Bible study with her, a reading program with her (you two can do it yourselves), and let the church you go (a good one hopefully that you faithfully attend) speak Gods intent and truth. Then, be patient. Talk with her about how you feel about things and get pre-marriage counseling from your pastor. All of this should be well within your grasp and will greatly improve both your walks.

As for children - I got to chime in in this one! Teaching children religion ---??? I have a child who is now 7. He is Autistic, has linguistic processing problems and memory encoding issues. When he was 6 he came to the realization that his seizure disorder could be potentialy fatal.

Great video. I have never been one to wear a lot of makeup. Not that I didn't want to at times. But it always seems like it takes so much work and I want to get lots done in a day.
I do like manicure and pedicure, for the mere pleasure. But not much for nail polish. It is spoily for once a year or two.
I am not much for fashion, but dressing in clean well kept clothes is good.

This is honestly an answer to my prayer. It is my faith to wear skirts and headcoverings as well and it is very hard. Especially when high school people can act like highschool kids... I felt alone like i was the only one out there that is doing this...so thank you for letting me know that I am not :)) (but i wouldn't trade it for anything..it is absolutely wonderful to pray to God all the time b/c my head is covered.)

I wish more women from all religions would wear the head-covering. I have noticed the makeup and clothes thing among pastors wives and just women in general among religions.
As for everyone else, you shouldn't be worried to be mistaken for a muslim. If someone asks you, just say that you are a Christian and following the Bible as it was written.

Ok...Ok...if a woman wishes to wear a scarf for religious or modesty motive, why not use a Chanel, Ferragamo, etc. scarf with lot of nice design on it. It still remains modest, but it would be more attractive and good looking than those horrible white scarf. Don't you think so?

Nicely written sister, however I think you can be modest and still feel beautiful on the outside. We can still wear makeup get our nails done ect. Just wear them in a natural way. Veiling does protect women from further exploitation of their bodies, however, veiling does not have to take away our femininity or beauty.

I really have felt led to wear less makeup and not think that I have to conform to some standard that someone else set up for me and told me I had better stick to or other people will reject me. I also don't see why the christian women of the west want to tie their hair with the hijab. but in a way i do understand, bcus most are not aware of how christian women cover their hair in other parts of the world and we only get to see the muslim women. but we don't have to tie it as a muslim woman in order to have our head covered. look to the christian women in africa, or the middle east, we're used to covering up our heads and we can show u different styles of covering the hair

I love scarves too, but im no muslim. I'm attracted at the cultural, it's so exotic, and they get to wear scarves, and i bought a hijab and i like it, one reason why i wear mine's it's becuz im to lazy to style my hair, another, it has me to be sincere, another, so many colors to choose from, russian women before islam used to wear scarves and long dresses but they werent muslim.

It seems to have the least amount of corruption and from my knowledge the Qur'an hasn't been altered like the Bible has. I can really respect Islam for that. However, extremists are still a problem. They make Islam look bad.

Ask them to prove that if their religion is genuine. Islam is the only religion of FAITH with PROOF.

My problem with this is that most people who see you like this, will instantly think you are a muslim, and in that way you give glory to something you do not want to glorify. Cover your self if you want, but pls leave that hijab look.

sishan: i totally agree with you. I do NOT want people thinking I am Muslim... no way. I've thought about this before too.... I think if anything I would put a big cross somewhere on there...

i have a question becasue i find this topic to be very intersting and helpful to me as someone who strives to be a good christian. My wife, whom I'm praying for, I would love to follow this biblical truth, can you reccomend something to read to help her in her walk, as she is new , very new.

The best thing you can do is get into a Bible study with her, a reading program with her (you two can do it yourselves), and let the church you go (a good one hopefully that you faithfully attend) speak Gods intent and truth. Then, be patient. Talk with her about how you feel about things and get pre-marriage counseling from your pastor. All of this should be well within your grasp and will greatly improve both your walks.

I found this YouTube video interesting. I too am someone who wears scarves (on my head) and I'm not a Muslim either! (I look somewhat similar to the woman in this video.)
As for children - I got to chime in in this one! Teaching children religion ---??? I have a child who is now 7. He is Autistic, has linguistic processing problems and memory encoding issues. When he was 6 he came to the realization that his seizure disorder could be potentialy fatal.

asalam waliakum, when i see new converts talking about Islam and they deeply follow it, I feel ashamed myself. I was born as a muslim, but very poorly following the religion of my forefathter. Mashallah. I learned very day from new converts. Thank you

You weren't born a Muslim, nobody is born a Muslim. Religion should not be introduced to children until they are old enough to make their own choice. Teaching religion to kids is worse than paedophilia, it is a disgusting form of child abuse.
