I just watched it and was quite disappointed. It basically just cut out the element of survival which the game was based around and made the game so good - I'd rather having a quality film about his struggle to survive on his own than the cliche plot of saving a girl/having an epic, large scale ending battle etc. And the "food" guy was just plain irritating and made the scenes he was in really cheesy. I just wish some good director would make a movie worthy of being mentioned next to the game.

i just watched the movie and i finished game a long ago.the truth is that the movie feels like a cheap work and the plot has something weird.but lets be fair guys.making movies from films isnt a walk in the part.also the effects and the action wasnt that bad.who didnt liked te part where geneticaly modified Max comes and saves Jack from Chernovs troopers.maybe its not best movie ever but its an ok add in to the far cry folder.

I think Uwe Boll is a great film maker. He does everything out of the Hollywood system and although can make some serious rubbish can also make some quality stuff. His video game adaptations are genius cause he can release any old pile of crap and ppl will go see them. me included. But he has made some excellent films which i think he was serious about eg. Stoic and Postal. I'm happy he makes crap like this cause its mildly entertaining much like all the other crap out there.

I saw the movie and I have to say that this is one of Uwe Bolls better movies. It's a good movie. How good you ask? Put it this way, You can take the Max Payne Movie with the Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li movie and both those films combine can't even beat this movie. It's that good.
