I was a kid in Sacramento in the 70's and this opener would scare the crap out of me! Is that Godzilla's eye or Frankenstein's eye at the beginning? What I don't understand is why an instrumental tune from the "Batman" TV series was used for for this show and how is this tune related to horror movies?
@dalegratz It's called "Gotham City Municipal Swing Band" and it was written by Neal Hefti who wrote the TV theme from Batman. It originally appeared on the Batman TV soundrack (Batman Theme And 19 Hefti Bat Songs), and it available for download on Amazon.com for 99 cents. I really enjoy this one too!
@Aeolis7 thank you very much I've been trying to grab this theme song for a very long time since bob wilkins probably use it for halloween time and thank you again I appreciate it.
He did a one night comeback in late 90`s (early 2000`s?) and showed Mushroom People which was an average movie but still fun just to see him host again.
Though a lifelong horror fan, I lived in the Midwest growing up, never saw a Bob Wilkins show, never heard of him until recently, but the clips of him on YouTube make me feel nostalgic anyway. It's that look and feel of a particular, now-long-lost era in TV, at a time when I often watched our own "Creature Feature" show on WKBD TV50 from Detroit.

@yohei72 that's odd because they used to show his show in the midwest.
