  • I was a kid in Sacramento in the 70's and this opener would scare the crap out of me! Is that Godzilla's eye or Frankenstein's eye at the beginning? What I don't understand is why an instrumental tune from the "Batman" TV series was used for for this show and how is this tune related to horror movies?

  • KTVU 2 had a much better opening credits sequence and set.

  • what the theme song name from this video creature features

  • @dalegratz It's called "Gotham City Municipal Swing Band" and it was written by Neal Hefti who wrote the TV theme from Batman. It originally appeared on the Batman TV soundrack (Batman Theme And 19 Hefti Bat Songs), and it available for download on Amazon.com for 99 cents. I really enjoy this one too!

  • @Aeolis7 thank you very much I've been trying to grab this theme song for a very long time since bob wilkins probably use it for halloween time and thank you again I appreciate it.

  • LEGENDARY!!!!

  • I was glued to the TV set every Saturday night at 11:30pm on TV40. I started watching him back in the early 70's. He was awesome!!

  • @jeff1969z I remember watching Horror of Dracula and his interveiw with Christopher Lee and every Halloween he showed Chris Lee in The Mummy.

  • @jack2breeze Yes, I do remember the interveiws. But I missed the Christopher Lee interview back than. Shame on me.

  • He did a one night comeback in late 90`s (early 2000`s?) and showed Mushroom People which was an average movie but still fun just to see him host again.

  • Thats cool!! I wonder if that is available on DVD or something. I wasn't aware of that comeback special.

  • it might be on one of those dvds you saw or the newest one.

  • Though a lifelong horror fan, I lived in the Midwest growing up, never saw a Bob Wilkins show, never heard of him until recently, but the clips of him on YouTube make me feel nostalgic anyway. It's that look and feel of a particular, now-long-lost era in TV, at a time when I often watched our own "Creature Feature" show on WKBD TV50 from Detroit.

  • @yohei72 that's odd because they used to show his show in the midwest.

  • Bob is the best!!!

    WATCH HORROR FILMS...KEEP AMERICA STRONG

  • Bob Wilkins, you will always remain the GREAT-

EST Horror Film Host of All-Time!

My prayers for you and your family.

  • After some research, I have determined that the exact date of THIS show is SEPTEMBER 1, 1979, at 11:30PM on KTXL TV 40!

  • I had that book as well!

  • Another excellent Bob Wilkins Video from Scott! And I remember this exact show! Keep them coming!!!!

  • Holy CRAP! I had that book! My parents bought it for me as a birthday present!! Wow...
