@NaddaBiz from the Ajahn Jayasaro facebook page: "From 1997 until 2002 Ajahn Jayasaro was the Abbot of Wat Pa Nanachat. He is now living alone in a hermitage at the foot of Kow Yai mountains, Nakornrajasrima, Thailand." Just thought interesting for you to know :) peace
Thank you for sharing your work and for sharing your presence. Your heart comes through. Question: Do you ever let go of breathing and TRUST/embrace/journey consciously as the BREATH THAT BREATHS?
ugh, don't know if its depression or burnout, but I'm sick of martial arts, and more and more I hate douchebags. I hate douchebags because, I wouldn't need to practice if it wasn't for them.
Its such a waste of time; where it up to me I'd just do Atlas, Yoga, and meditation all day! Oh yeah and video games.
god I'm so sick of martial arts; CAN NO ONE do it gracefully anymore!?
Can their moves remain that perfect and flawless in the heat of a fight though? Hey, we've all seen that "Shaolin vs Tae Kwan Do" video. Although his speed, accuracy and mobility were all impressive, when the camera slowed the action down, you saw some sloppiness. Perfection, even in the heat of a contest of skill or a fight, that is the essence of "Kung Fu." Anyone, with enough time, can execute perfect technique during practice, during a contest or fight though, different story.
they do it gracefully! a true shaolin monk will only fight when absolutely neccessary therefore doubts can be raised that you would see one in a ring.
I practiced this technique for a couple of months and it helps to stop other thoughts from intruding in my meditation. Its good to start with this exercise during meditation. Counting the breaths twice may seem confusing at first but one gets used to it and it becomes second nature. Thanks for sharing this technique with me. It is very useful.
Another one is : (for buddhist) 1 Buddho, 2 buddho, begining with 1-10. then after stabalise, reduce 1-4. stay stable. try for 1 hour. i found for normal people like me, we need something to strength the mind, before going into our begining, jhanas, where body and mind, goes into another leve, then to mind only. try left to right, up to down. reverse. Cheers!
It can be confusing counting twice the same number:ONE for IN and again ONE for out breath. Generaly one counts one in-AND-outbreath as one. Who taught you this way of counting?
Clear, effective and simple. But difficult: counting the breathings in order to concentrate the mind, and polish the mind.. the meditation has it seems to be cultivate deeply enough in us, beginners, because it is a living thing. Thanks for sharing these pratical & useful teachings!
clever meditation idea! I'll have to try it.

go to the youtube search engine and type "Shaolin monk vs Karate."
He's not really a Karate guy, he does Tae Kwan do (the Shaolin monk's opponent).
