Nice Mental ray tutorial and renderray rocks.

It is easy to understand especially when you have the max scene just infront of you . Even if it is difficult to understand the accent :)) of the author, You can download the scene and check Mental ray scene parameters.

3ds max is a wonderful program, always i preferred Maya because is much better and more quick in some stuff. For example in mental ray is very simple, but in 3ds max you need to do to much setup for have a great render. On maya you don't need to do to much setup, is not complicated. Maya is more comfortable for me.
