I just love Linda Ronstadt's version of "Blue Bayou", which was written by Roy Orbison. She has such a deep melodic voice, so soothing to listen to and enjoy.

Has anyone thought to invite Linda Ronstadt to sing the national anthem at the SuperBowl? She is one of the rare performers who could belt it out straight, unlike some other performers who chicken out by applying "creative interpretation". Her vocal range climbs to heights where no other professional singer dare venture without a parachute.
