I ubderstand this song deeply because i was this guy in the video to get hurt and i know i was a good husband and father but i had to pray on it and little did i know God blessed me with the perfect women who also had her husband do her the same thing..u cant help who u love but im glad i went through it because i may not be happy like i am now!!!!!! so like the young lady said earlier never leave the one u love for the one u like cause the one u like will leave u for the one they love

I love this song NOT because I"ve ever been in this situation, but because she does this amazing job of explaining how you can be in love with someone who is ALSO someone you shouldn't be in love with. The heart wants what it wants. Even if you know it isn't logical. That's what this song is about. You just can't help who you love.

I wud need 2 move most of the world within themselves at least wit the slowest song, or at least try, but certainly not wit this funeral music. B4 I wud have even auditioned 2 sing this song, I wud have cut out on the producer meanin leave him there wit that funeral song & music until he'd call me back & give me the best that he's got 2 reproduce 2 make us the money wit. I would have looked at the producer in the studio and really told him, "You want me to sing to this music! No.....Not to this music! I didn't come here to make funeral arrangemets, I came her to make vocal arrangemets!" Next song please, cause I refuse to even begin working out this song with you." And people this song never went to the top of the charts either now did it.

God Damn! It sounds just like funeral music is going on the back ground. I can't,....I really just can't take re-listen to this damn song. She has a nice voice here, but is not being re-used here, it sounds just like she is singing at somebody's damn funeral! I've got to go! You all can have and take re-listening to this song. I remember the first time i heard this song. I was in a relationship with a girl i knew to be too good for me, i did everything for her, was the perfect gentleman, etc. When i heard this song, i knew she was going to tell me these words. And sure enough, less than three weeks later she dumped me for that thug nigga. I cant stand her and would never consider getting back with her. Sorry youtube, just had to vent on this one.

Wow. I use to think she was crazy for what she did... leaving a great man for someone who probably doesn't even compare. But, i can totally relate to this . I met this man a couple of weeks ago.. he's fine & treats me pretty well... but i was dating someone else. In love with him, actually . I started having an affair with the other dude & finally couldnt take it anymore, when it came down to it.. i chose the other man.
