The reason why I'm involved in drowning prevention is because my daughter almost drowned while she was at a daycare in a kiddie pool just like the one in the PSA. It only takes 2 inches for a child to drown, because they "breath" in the water not knowing that they shouldn't.

A child "breaths" in the water, thus filling their lungs with water instantly. It takes seconds - brain damage occurs - then death within minutes.

Children only need a few inches of water to drown. Do you have any kids? If they hit there head they can hurt them selves too.

If you look closely, you'll notice that the pool water isn't exactly at a high level.
