From that point, companies like Fannie May and Freddie Mac were told by the legislation to finance bad loans for people who couldn't afford a house. That caused the economy collapse. Since when do Democrats support the Koran? I don't support any religious teachings. And I never said that the Separation of Church and State meant forced atheism, it just means that religion has no place in the government. Evolution should be taught in schools because it is a fact and many religious people accept evolution, the idea that the world is 6000 years old is just silly.

Of course its not okay for a teacher or a textbook to say there is no God, evolution doesn't say that. More than 40% of the US believes in evolution, but only around 16% of the US population is atheist. And it is shocking that it is only more than 40% who believes in evolution. Evolution is considered a fact, and it's wrong not to teach facts in school. What about the children who want to grow up to be biologists, biochemists, and physists, can't they learn about their desired career?

See, you are only making assumptions. Just because I am on the opposite side of the political spectrum you assume that I want to stop global warming. I don't know if global warming exists or it doesn't, I think we should try to take action against it just in case, but we shouldn't take it to extremes. If we are wrong and global warming does exist then if we don't take action we are in trouble, but if we do take action we should not take extreme action. But no, I don't believe in global warming.

AH no there no proof that a global flood happened. Christianity is not a theory it's a myth. Theories are based on evidence and there is no evidence for the claims in the Bible. There's evidence for global warming to all you need to do look at a scans of the earth's atmosphere and you can see hole ozone layer and how it's gotten bigger.

Do you actually believe that crap you hear on CNN and MSNBC? The US economy was great from 2000-2006 until liberal democrats took control of the House and Senate. From that point, companies like Fannie May and Freddie Mac were told by the legislation to finance bad loans for people who couldn't afford a house. That caused the economy collapse. By the way, Bush didn't sign the bill, the legislative branch overrode his veto.

Sure, when Obama took office the country wasn't exactly in great shape. But since he has taken over, unemployment has risen, the national debt has increased over 10 times, and in 6 months of being president, Obama has spent more than the 6 years of the Iraq War. I think he's running out of chances.

I'm a lib from NB, but thats not quite true. I'm a LIberal/NDP supporter but thats a bit harsh. The war in Afghanistan was wasn't about bush or America, it was about the Taliban and human rights. However, Harper did push to go into Iraq, but I'm very glad they're not the REpublicans. In Canada however, they can't be that crazy because an election can be called at any time and with Harper's minority, he can't afford to slip up. It's how we the people stay in charge.

Johnny - removing a country's government CAUSES civil war. Whether there was civil war before we got there or not. If there are enough people against the government, eventually they will revolt on their own. This is a natural process.
If the government there is still exerting power, there are enough people supporting it, willfully or not, to keep it in power. These people will resist, causing violence, and the definition of civil war.
