she said on her blog that she's been practicing her 'head voice' that's what she's using at the beginning of this song, now she can switch between her chest voice and head voice much better, before she used to scream when using the head voice and she didn't have the same rounded sound she has now... great stuff, she has a very powerful voice.

the 'screams' you talk about were Belting, chest voice. But she indeed has improved a lot. Now it's all about voice control and self confidence I think.

I belive this is just the tip of the iceberg of her full potential though.

she couldn't belt the high notes in this way before and she was strining her voice on the higher notes, she couldn;t use the 'mix' in the same wasy she using it now. and belting is not 'head voice' and belting is not 'chest voice' for some of the high notes she sings she needs to use her 'head voice'.

Her belting ids as good as always, the new stuff is her compressed neutral.

On previous gigs she was hitting the right notes, but i felt she was lacking srength. Now she has strength but she missed some notes. I think that if she can combine both trainings (and she will), her performance will be superb.

I know what head voice and chest voice is. She obviously needs to use head voice, it's the way the song was meant to be.

again we are saying the same thing you just totally misinterpret what i wrote... let's put it in this way, she's developing a stronger head voice and her higher register is more resonant so the belted notes on the higher register sound better and her 'passaggio' or 'mix' register is much better either. and as she wrote on her blog she's practising her head voice anyway the chest vocie is the lower and she had that very developed with not much resonance on her 'mix' and head voice registers.
