Great driving! 2:08 is a pretty good time at BW CW 13. I think if you adds some negative camber to you front tires you will get less understeer. Stock E36 M3 have about -1.0 deg camber, need to be about -3.0 deg camber to get good grip on front tires on turns. Wider tires up front don't help that much when only the outer edge is in contact with the road. Your front tires probably have badly worn outer shoulders. Coilovers and camber plates and you would keep up with that EVO.
not bad, but the car does seem to understeer pretty bad for a RWD car. Doesn't seem like you're heel-toe'ing either. Slow in, fast out, brah. Once you dial in your entry speed, you can push it harder coming into those tighter corners.
i run stock alignment specs on stock suspension, but i would hardly call that ideal. i have been able to mitigate some of the natural understeer from the factory with the same tire size at all four corners instead of the smaller ones up front.
damn man how bout shifting outta 5th ! SHIT ! lol !! thats what i called white knuckle driving ! ! (looks like you were hanging on for dear life ! ! ) keep @ it and remember if your not 1st your last !!
awesome driving... and btw you could easily have over 300 bhp with your mods, especially with a custom AA tune. I need to take my m3 to buttonwillow one of these days. Looks like a blast
i made 242rwhp and 232rwtq on what i consider to be a lower reading dynojet. that would put me at around 285hp assuming 15% drivetrain loss, or around 292hp assuming 17% drivetrain loss. i have not pulled my engine and thrown it on an engine dyno, nor will i, so that's my best guess for engine hp.
if you still don't belive me, feel free to look up my username on bimmerforums (jworms on there too) for the full thread on my dyno results. a link to it is in my sig on there.
I dunno, I looked. Frankly, everything looks kinda sketchy on your dyno sheets. Your M3 is still faster than mine though and I guess that's all that matters. I need an M50.
It's true Dynojets aren't the best dynamometers out there, but it's what the majority of the car scene uses. It's also the same dyno I got my stock baseline numbers from. So, in an effort to keep things consistent, I used it to get a more accurate reading of my improvement over stock.
My dyno results may not be typical, but they certainly aren't unheard of. I'm not the only one pulling numbers similar to mine with mods like mine.
btw, I hate talking about hp numbers at the engine. It's much better to say that I gained 34rwhp over stock because those are the numbers presented. Guessing what that 34rwhp equates to at the engine is just that, guessing. I only mentioned engine hp numbers because TheJumper01 mentioned the stock 240hp value.
0:16 WTF? Unless your tyres are balding or your springs are too stiff for your chasis setup - an Evo should not be able to out do you on a trail brake like that, with some practice you'll be a lot closer to that car on that type of track because the straights are minimal. Keep having fun though - Mpower ftw!
I was having issues with my brakes all day, but besides that, i think that evo was pretty well setup compared to my car and running significantly faster times than i was. I'm still on stock suspension and it's totally blown at 100k miles so that's not helping me either.
Dude Nice! Just bought an m3 BECAUSE OF YOUR VIDEOS!!! Keep on kickin ass and maybe one day I'll be out there on the track with you! Guess it's time to start a NorCal E36 Club!!
i wouldn't know how the car performs in the snow, i live in southern california where it's generally 70 degrees all the time. they come stock with 240hp. mine has somewhere around 290hp with those mods.
sick driving i like the turn at 2:08

nice driving skills! looks like your comfortable driving understeering set up. Any recommendation on alignment set up?

Sry your car doesn't have 290hp. All those mods may have added 25 hp. You'll need cams to get more, or an s50b32.. Prove me wrong.

What's sketchy about my dyno results? I even included links to all the dynojet runfiles so you can render the graphs on your own.
Anywho, the M50 is definitely one of the best mods you can do for these cars. I highly suggest it.

Dynojet is sketchy.

Makes sense. I still doubt you added 50 bhp with those mods tho.

How does the car do in the snow? and is the car good for like a novice driver? cause i heard it only goes up to 240 HP.

thats really cool, on the east coast, RWD isn't the best kind of car to have in the winter with snow, lol.

That may be true, but I think my car would surprise quite a few 'real' E36 M3s.
