As for summoning ion keep on holding down the attack button after Radiant Howl triggers.

2nd + playthrough and ion must actually be in the "party" so once you beat that robot boss (Meggido highlands) then the summon ion extension can no longer be done for the rest of the game.

As for the others:

Low HP Guy (less then 50%) Sword of Gardious equipped and Final Cross used (if its at 150 uses.)

Tear: have all 6 songs: Nightmare, Ressurection (Revitalize), Holy Song, Force Field and Judgment and Grand Cross ALL at 50x uses and trigger Judgment to trigger Fortune Ark while its damaging the monsters hold down the normal attack button to trigger its extension.

Natalia: Elven Bow + her very first physical attack skill via the arte menu at x150 uses to trigger it.

White Haired woman = Nibelim herself.

Indignation Jade Thunder Blade x200 uses then just hold down the button that triggers overlimits mode to trigger Indignation (drains 100 TP one usable one per fight.

Anise: Hold down the button the normal attack button during Satsugekibokoken (final fury) to trigger its extension.

Fever Time: for Anise use Lucky (her physical move gained like at level 55 x100 or so times) and have 20,000 gald.

@13Okuni1 That's Nebilim. I don't want to give away any spoilers but she's kind of like a hidden boss, the strongest one in the game, really. (She's fairly tough!) It's sorta like Abyssion is to Tales of Symphonia (if you've played it), you know what I mean? Not part of the main story but you can fight her if you get all of the special weapons needed to unlock her.

@zidaneandsora they have verp specific conditions. for instance luke can only do the last one if u have finished ur first playthrough, have the key of loralie equip and have less than 25% health.

@Auke1993 Oh I'm so sorry you haven't played it yet!! That sucks! But yes soon enough you will, it's a great RPG. I was hooked from the very moment I played it on the ps2. I'm sure I will get it for 3DS just to have tales on the go!! They should have put Symphonia on the 3DS though too.

@FinalFantasy10RO yeah....and sadly nebilim is pretty hax, when you face her overall...since its said you can only face her on very hard or unknown mode <_< and on a second playthrough once doing some...kinda tedious stuff.

@Gotenks0002 well i beat nebilim with only tear in party because i equip mystic symbol and cast enchance cast on tear and than i went a little closer to nebilim and use holy lance to her :P... she's a bad magician...

I have a question. Is Tales Of The Abyss 3DS Slowed down? For some reason watching all these videos they seem slowed down from the PS2 version in battles. Like the basic attacks and Artes seem slow. Someone who is playing the Japanese version tell me is the game run in 60FPS normally (3D Turned Off) and goes to 30 with 3D turned on. Or does it just stay 60FPS all the time?

I can't believe that you shot this with a digital camera! This just shows how great 3DS is, and how much it deserves a Tales of game. I just wish they'd localize more Tales of games in english. Maybe we can expect Hearts and Innocence for 3DS some time? We never did get an original DS title in english, even though they made three...

Also, I'm so glad to see that this 3DS version has all the content that was added for the North American PS2 release.

@7ETRIX I haven't played a Kingdom Hearts game, but it's not a turn-based RPG. It's a real-time combat system, like all "Tales of" games are.

@BloodyHowl69 sorry the site i got the info from worded it wrong. it turns out the japanese version got the mystic artes that were exclusive to the NA version on ps2, so we basically get the same ps2 version but on 3ds so that means no voiced skits -_-, but you never know they might change something we will just have to wait and see

As for the weak damage like the damage from the first hi ougi on this video for a lowsy 410 damage at 41 hits odds are the ENTIRE video is from the Unknown difficulty setting.

Which is why the damage from the party members Hi Ougi's is pathetic.

Well every time I started the game for a 2nd + playthrough the game would only give me access to the sword required for Brilliant Overlord only after all but the final boss in the final dungeon is dead.

That's even after I attempted to leave the final dungeon before fighting Legretta the final time their.

If theirs 1 thing I hated about Brilliant overlord for Guy isn't its damage its just that its only usable for a very few boss fights.

ALL forms of the final boss Nibelim and the Tales of Cameos if you didn't fight them.

After all the game didn't give me access to Guy's required weapon to trigger Brillant Overlord unless I saved in front of the final boss.

As for Lost Fon Drive the accessory that makes it usable restores way too much HP so that never had Luke down to his last 25% HP.

@Veghesther Brilliant Overlord for the first playthrough? Yeah, it's only usable on those bosses, but if you completed the game I'm pretty sure the earliest time it can be usable is when you first enter the final dungeon, where you can leave to get the sword.

For Lost Fon Drive the jewel is not a requirement to use Lost Fon Drive, infact you lose the jewel once you get the sword, and I'm fairly sure the HP condition is under 15%.

It seems that Celestial Elegy's slash no longer kills, nor does the second slash from Brimstone Tempest. Noble Roar has different sound effects and Indignation has a different camera angle? (not sure) There seems to be a lot of lag starting them up as a whole though (which was only present sometimes in the PS2 version)... o_0

@NolanKryptonite Celestial elegy doesnt kill you anymore throughout the entire move and I dont know about that bit on the Brimstone tempest second slash kill as both times in the video, Natalia had enough hp to survive the second slash

Btw did this version change Guy's 2nd hi ougi the one that triggers on this video after Final Cross (level 53 is gained.)

After all on the PS2 version the only way to trigger it is with Guy down to his last 25% HP but this video shows the hi ougi with him closer to max HP left.

@Veghesther Brilliant Overlord's activation needs 50% HP or less. It's the same as in the PS2 version. Look. He had 2504 HP left. The one you're describing earlier in the video is his normal Mystic Arte Razing Phoenix which only requires OVL to be activated.
