I contacted my senator and voiced my opposition as a mother of teenagers and let him know my children would not participate in any way aiding them to carry out their wars. Our religion is one of peace, and for my children to participate would be sinning against our God, so these politicians can just forget about it, it's not going to happen! Contact your senators!

Our Constitution and Bill of Rights are carefully and clearly worded to mean that we have rights as citizens, just by being alive.

I`m against mandatory service but to suggest this idea came from Israel is absurd. MANY countries throughtout the world require military service. Israel is not the only country. The Obama model surely didn`t come from Israel. I don`t see him as a big fan of Israel at all. There are plenty of other countries he probably is modeling this method after.

What if they dropped out b/c they were bullied every day they went to school?There are many examples of people who are dropouts who have succeeded in life. I`d much rather put all the career welfare ppl in the military (not the ppl who fell to hard times). Let them work for their government handouts.
