Messi is more decisive, coldblooded, a better dribbler, faster, more physical, and humbler, Ronaldo is better at trickery, free kicks, but misses a lot and a lot of his tricks don't get him anywhere, unlike Ronaldinho, not able to handle stress (Manu Chelsea UCL final, and the semi final before that. With al Ronaldo's trickery, you never see him juke 6 defenders and scoring. Ronaldo would have dived.

well, i'm pretty much prepared for an earful of abuse, but i've spent hours trying to figure out how Ronaldo makes the ball waver in the air and i succeed in using this technique a few times out of ten. it's very difficult to notice but at 0:25 Ronaldo's foot becomes nearly tangent to the ball just an inch or two up the ball. basically, you position yourself as if you were making a precision pass but use the approximate location of your big toe to try and "throw" the ball.
