Nice solid sax section, good recovery by alto sax soloist. It dragged a bit too much at the end before the final solo riff, and the trumpets couldn't quite get the responses just so, but a valiant effort for a very difficult piece,
our jazz band did a version of this. as soon as i get the video up i'll post it as a reply. let me know what you think. i hope the quality isn't too crappy on it

How do they Replace the bass Intro with a piano intro :( So mean!!!! The bass is suppose to be smooth and tone setting with the guy speaking... :(!!!
and im a bass player and a fan of Bebop so this is like a double wammy :(

Nice try but the rhythm is a little sloppy. Also all the notes need more bite to them which would've helped with the rhythm.

:) i like the solo at the end. it wasn't as good as the original, but it was better than anything else i've seen.
