Actually the Warhead expansion looks slightly better than the original Crysis and also it runs better (at least in my PC). But both are good games and very good looking (and damn heavy).

Well I consider the PS3 more convenient and flexible in terms of abilities for technological use. And from the research I've done it can in fact do the basic tasks of a PC. Even the company who makes the Linux program for the PS3 said this. So I'm pretty sure its quite hard to tell an entire company who made the program for the ps3 is wrong. Well not really considering that the 360's games are equally priced and PC games are priced just 10 dollars cheaper. Like the regular price of a PS3 or 360 game here where I live is 59.99 but it went up because of the obvious downfall of the economy. But really though think about the next gen in memory capcity and what not which is blu-ray really is only 10 or 15 dollars more than the usual DVD. I'd rather have the best picture and sound quality as possible so yeah but its personal preference.

you are talking about movies or games, because i can insure you that in games you dont get better quality just because its blu ray, its just random shit files, for example in the directory of one of my pc games, there were 3 configurations directories full of files, one for pc, one for ps3, one for x360, those configurations choose what the system is capable for, eg the resolutions and detail settings in graphics on ps3 are lower than x360 and in pc you can override them from within the game.

PLUS it supports much higher resolutions making for sharper and more detailed graphics. This is why what you're gonna be getting is "Crysis @ 1280x720 and a combination of Medium-High graphics" because whether you admit it or not, this is what you're gonna get.

The best parts of the video were the tropical islands and the forest towards the end. The Playstation 3 had most the forest and the Xbox 360 most of the tropical islands.

i didnt see any thing special from ps3, all they showed were omni lights and lighting, but for xbox360 the realtime debri was awsome. even the smoke plumes were cool. we'll have to wait and see if it will actually look like that
True. The lighting effect at 0:56 on the ps3 is fucked unlike the Xbox 360. One thing i did notice however was that on the part with the island in the background it was more detailed on the Playstation 3.

Cryengine is not the same as Crysis. Crysis is a game and Cryengine is a game engine.
And Warhead is not an expansion. It's a game itself based on the same engine and stuff as the first. But you don't need Crysis to play Warhead

umm no your wrong lol. The 360 is made my Microsoft we all know that but its not windows based. The only thing it has related to windows is the ability to link to windows media centre THATS IT! As for PS3 it is in fact a computer yes I say computer because. You can run an OS on it called Linux which I'm sure you have heard of. Sony had stated this that you can in fact turn it into a home computer. Yes it already has a browser but thats not what I meant. PS3 wins here sorry to say:)

LFMAO, and ROLF is that what you meant? just because it runs linux it doesnt mean that it can do what a pc can do , and apart from videos there are ways to make x360 run on linux, but the question is, what for? why would ever microsoft officially announce that a microsoft console can run on linux? its anti money making, besides ps3 has its stupid ways as you said, but basicly every pc game with windows live is a port from console and vice versa, but in ps3 you need different techniques.

Well I consider the PS3 more convenient and flexible in terms of abilities for technological use. And from the research I've done it can in fact do the basic tasks of a PC. Even the company who makes the Linux program for the PS3 said this. So I'm pretty sure its quite hard to tell an entire company who made the program for the ps3 is wrong. The only thing thats wrong with the ps3 is that it is difficult to program. But thats the persons fault cuz its so tech. advanced.

Lol your probably the first person not to freak out like a fanboy atleast theres a common ground between us. Like I have both 360 and PS3 both have their positives and negatives. Its more of a personal preference and I think that the PS3 is just better. Just because of the things I explained it with my last message. You can do all these things without actually having to mod your system the only way to run Linux on a 360 is through a system mod. As for the PS3 its free to download and have.

Oh yeah I know what you mean about the PC and stuff. I seriously think everything about the PS3 is great even the blu-ray I know the PS3 isn't doing so well right now but as I said its because the archeticure of the PS3 it's because of this that it's so complicated for developers to make a game for the PS3. But if a developer say like guirilla games can take the time to make a game then it turns out really really good aka Killzone 2. I love the PS3 its great:)

Well not really considering that the 360's games are equally priced and PC games are priced just 10 dollars cheaper. Like the regular price of a PS3 or 360 game here where I live is 59.99 but it went up because of the obvious downfall of the economy. But really though think about the next gen in memory capcity and what not which is blu-ray really is only 10 or 15 dollars more than the usual DVD. I'd rather have the best picture and sound quality as possible so yeah but its personal preference.

wow really? thats quite the inflation for prices. But I'm not saying PS3 represents the "best quality" I mean the blu-ray disk its self. Its definetly better than a DVD and thats what a 360 uses except dual layered. A dvd can't truely go high def unless it has an upscaler and while it may look good its just not the real things. So thats why I would side with blu-ray instead it can hold more memory and holds better picture and sound.

you are talking about movies or games, because i can insure you that in games you dont get better quality just because its blu ray, its just random shit files, for example in the directory of one of my pc games, there were 3 configurations directories full of files, one for pc, one for ps3, one for x360, those configurations choose what the system is capable for, eg the resolutions and detail settings in graphics on ps3 are lower than x360 and in pc you can override them from within the game.

I for one wanted a game with great graphics so then came Crysis but, I realised it was all eye candy and camera shaking effects that made me thought that it was a good game. So you can find any console that is better but wouldn't get anything out of it. But for controller wise I would say Xbox 360. sorry for those PS3 lovers

Reason: The CryEngine3 is a dumbed down version of the CryEngine2, because Crytek wanted their future games to run on the current consoles. It is much worse than the CryEngine2, it's got far less detail and more shaders etc. to make it LOOK like it's better.
This just proves once more how inferior the consoles are to the powerful PCs.

Again, DO NOT compare the consoles to a computer. The PC can do everything a console can, only a hundred times better. Plus it can do so much more the consoles are unable to.
PLUS it supports much higher resolutions making for sharper and more detailed graphics. This is why what you're gonna be getting is "Crysis @ 1280x720 and a combination of Medium-High graphics" because whether you admit it or not, this is what you're gonna get.
So no, it's not shutting anyone up.

i didnt see any thing special from ps3, all they showed were omni lights and lighting, but for xbox360 the realtime debri was awsome. even the smoke plumes were cool. we'll have to wait and see if it will actually look like that

True. The lighting effect at 0:56 on the ps3 is fucked unlike the Xbox 360. One thing i did notice however was that on the part with the island in the background it was more detailed on the Playstation 3.

I have a ps3 a 360 and a insanly overpowered PC, basically fucking put, how can a 250dollar system... out perform a 1900dollar system in terms of graphics? O YA! it cant.
