the psn has hundreds of movies and games now. right now it might be worth buying a psp go buy i like being able to sell and trade old games that never get used. thats one reason i went with the 3000 instead of the go. but you can get a whole lot of games and movies that aren't on umd on the psn.

The PSP Go is obviously not marketed towards people like you who have a ton of UMD's. It's a huge waste of money for people who have a lot of UMD's since there's no way to transfer them.

I'm not entirely sure why people complain so much if they aren't even in the target audience for buying the console. If you're happy with your 3000 more power to you. If you're looking for something like the Go, awesome. Different strokes for different folks.

Believe it or not, this is just a partial of the story with the PSP Go tactics. Although, this is a good way to look at it as a prosumer or consumer point of view, you'll have to realize this as well. Companies are now trying to eliminate distribution and trade/sell market completely. And being part of that marketing team in my career, they will NOT stop until they find it. PSP Go was a test market in the hardware side. Basically they are trying to pull another cartidge to CD miracle once again.

you forgot that you can still download all the games from psn on the 3000 as well. so the go is basicly a stripped down psp 3000. you forgot to mention that all the games on psn are overpriced for example daxter at gamestop was 2.99. last time i checked on psn it was 17.99. the psp go is now on clearance for 90 dollers and im still not getting one.

Why I'm getting a psp go

1. So I don't have to carry around a case of UMDs for my already portable system(making it not so much portable anymore)

2. Never owned a psp so I don't have any UMDs anyway

3. Never heard of half the crap you got anyway

One upside about UMD's.............You can have over 100 (like you haha) and never run out of memory space ^^ But you can't care all those with you either......I have a Go and I love it. It's got emulators and stuff so I'm not updating. But MediaGo lets me access the PSN and download stuff. Nothing seems to be firmware limited yet which is good. I do have a 1000 and 3000 and I use those to play Crisis Core cuz I need to finish it haha.

well you go a head and carry all your 200 or so umd disc's and get robbed and then have to buy all your umd game disc's again and ill have all of my 97 games on the hard drive and if i lose my psp go i can get another psp go and put my old accout on it and ill still have my 97 games on it just have to reinstall them and not spend a dime on games

@bloodzupimacrabkilla Way to not get the point of the video. The point of the video has to do with the amount of games that were not on digital distribution when the video was made. Also it was about how there wasn't a way to transfer UMD titles on to the PSP Go, despite Sony promising they would do that. Oh! If you ever lose that GO, make sure you detach the previous one because your Credit Card information is stored on the system.

As of 8/23/10 The NA PSN has only 1 Square-enix PSP game available for go owners, Thexder Neo (not counting PSone classics.). At E3 2010, Sony claimed that the PSPgo would receive major support from companies like Square-Enix. Sure. Crisis Core came out what....2008? And it still isn't on PSN. The PSPgo needs crisis core and other great older titles if it wants to stay alive..w/o it PSPgo=Wasted $250
