Seriously ? Are we so closed minded that we can't accept that there are many great guitarists all great in their own way ? I've never heard a bad guitarist that had his own style. SRV cleaned up Hendrix style and expanded on it. Hendrix was an innovator. Not a great technical guitarist. But music as we know it would not be the same without him. For my money there is not a better guitarist or performer than Stevie. But it's not all my money. It's all good. Love the music.

I hate when people say Meg sucks at drumming. Not everyone can play a beat believe it or not. She has stage presence, and the simple beats she plays leaves room for Jack to improvise. 2:05-2:50 for example. Mitch Mitchell did the same thing, but he was an educated and professional drummer. @wsayre550 sigh. just looked at the other two comments you got. thats not the case. what he's doing is hitting the strings with his pick, rather than picking them. so that it acts like a slide/[temporary] fret for a split second between the notes that he's playing. the notes between the hits are still going to sound because he's causing a vibration out of the strings, but the silence between notes is replaced with a much radder 'shuttering' sound :) dunno if that makes sense, give it a try

@wsayre550 nah.. alright, well when you think about it, a slide is essentially a fret you can move wherever you want. he doesn't actually 'slide' but he does use his pick in a similar manner to a slide. rather than picking the note and cutting off the vibration, he hits the string with the edge of his pick to give it a brief moment of maintaining the note he would be playing up near his picking hand. [sorta like how pick-scrapes work] but also watch his fretting hand too, it helps the sound

@MsLiamz To the best of my knowledge, the Airline was sold to Eastwood and it's a lot more expensive now. It's not just the guitar though. Part of the sound comes from the pedals he uses. You kind of just have to go looking for things like that.
@MsLiamz I do know of a very unique brand called Traveler. They are very small guitars with unorthodox designs. They're usually around $300-$400 and they're very fun to play. Hope this helped.

@wsayre550 its not fast playing, hes using a digitech whammy to octave up the signal of his guitar, thats why its sounds so awesome.

@wsayre550 sigh. just looked at the other two comments you got. thats not the case. what he's doing is hitting the strings with his pick, rather than picking them. so that it acts like a slide/[temporary] fret for a split second between the notes that he's playing. the notes between the hits are still going to sound because he's causing a vibration out of the strings, but the silence between notes is replaced with a much radder 'shuttering' sound :) dunno if that makes sense, give it a try

@wsayre550 nah.. alright, well when you think about it, a slide is essentially a fret you can move wherever you want. he doesn't actually 'slide' but he does use his pick in a similar manner to a slide. rather than picking the note and cutting off the vibration, he hits the string with the edge of his pick to give it a brief moment of maintaining the note he would be playing up near his picking hand. [sorta like how pick-scrapes work] but also watch his fretting hand too, it helps the sound

@MsLiamz To the best of my knowledge, the Airline was sold to Eastwood and it's a lot more expensive now. It's not just the guitar though. Part of the sound comes from the pedals he uses. You kind of just have to go looking for things like that.

@MsLiamz I do know of a very unique brand called Traveler. They are very small guitars with unorthodox designs. They're usually around $300-$400 and they're very fun to play. Hope this helped.
