  • GHERE's what I said, when & to whom:

    "@markesco

Windmill is a Capoera martial arts move. Crazy Legs didn't "invent" it but he did "re- present" it to modern / urban dance.

I never said that Crazy Legs "SAW THE WINDMILL FROM CAPOERA" (I speak from what I KNOW & not what I don't).

Instead, zealots need to calm down a bit & not let their pride of their OWN limited knowledge make them deaf, dumb & blind. Do you misread bc you WANT to disagree & seem superior?

  • Crazy Legs, I didn't say a word to you at SEATTLE center 2002. Being starstruct I shook your hand and darted off. I'm the dude that made you think WTF. Thanks said the MONKEE

  • wind mill is NOT a capoeira move

  • i think b-boys and b-girls should dress like back in the day.

  • This man is hip hop.Big up

  • word

  • How come neither Kenny or Legs, mention each other in their interviews. I know people go their separate ways but these brothers were joined at the hip!! Do they have Beef? Does anyone know?

  • @azjass10 beef? what the hell? why not steak? -__-

  • @azjass10 they had a fallout years ago for personal reasons..this is what led to Kenny starting 7 gems. They no longer have a relationship of any kind and we'll leave it at that -peace

  • @azjass10 they both are legends and thats what really matters

  • @zzzzzzd how can he be jealous of them..? Every bboy in this generation looks upto him

  • The King!

(Very funny the way he keeps swinging from side to side all the time..lol!)

  • If you want to see the true Crazy Legs look up Silent Morning Live by Noel......he's the guy in the beginning with the blue shirt on........HILARIOUS!!!!

  • That was cool but Rich doesn't even mention Zulu Nation.... if i'm correct they got a Chapter all to themselves.Still a cool memory about back in the days.

  • That's right

  • The Master

  • didnt crazy legs invent the windmill?

  • yep, a.k.a. the continuous backspin

  • he also invented the game called B-Boy :D

  • @markesco It was accidentally created when he overshot his chair freeze into a continuous back spin

  • @markesco yah

  • @markesco

Naah I heard him say in this docu that some kid did the windmill and said he got it from a bruce lee movie

  • @bboybram no. he did it on accident from trying to get into a chair freeze. its on his website

  • @markesco Yes he did.. He describes it in Style Wars... He had slipped during a move and had spun in a circle..

I never said that Crazy Legs "SAW THE WINDMILL FROM CAPOERA" (I don't profess to know THAT MUCH about where people DEFINITELY did or did NOT get things from, in arenas where I'm not a 'head' or well- acquainted). That'd be like my giving my novice opinion of a football game as fact, in the midst of a bunch of fans & officianados. Much more likely that the fanatics may've misinterpreted a blanket statement which stands for the art of creation as a whole, not CLegz in particular.

  • @MarcusDarling4026 don't misinform people if u don't know ur facts idiot.. he made the windmill by accident he did not see it from capoera and I dnt think capoera uses windmills... he was trying to do a transition from a sixstep to a chairfreeze and he slipped into a backspin like movement and then by accident he made the windmill.. that's why is also known as a continuous backspin...

  • @MarcusDarling4026 then DON'T effin say that windmill is a Capoera move cz some people might actually believe u, windmill is NOT a capoeira move, Capoeira Martial artists DO NOT windmill... so just be quiet... since u "Don't know that much"...

    Peace and love.

  • Are you serious...

You know that compared to now and then he isnt that good

But back in the day he was one of the best

so basically he is probably one of the best out there, because he basically made all of the bboys today who they are

They all learned from back in the day people just like him

    so dont trip

  • i agree

  • i understand where you are coming from. But look at Kuriaki or Ken swift. Ken swift progressed so much. Legs seems like he never progressed. But my previous comment was out of line.

  • I agree with Storm lol

  • Ken Swift did progress a lot. Kuriaki RIP, you can't use him as a comparison because he passed away so we didn't get the privilege to see him progress more through the decades.

Legs did progress through the decades up to the 90's, but yeah Swift did progress more. But as far as in the 80's, Legs was more of a headliner for their crew in dance performances.

  • go back to his time, u fuck. he was one of the best

  • way to respond to an old comment.

  • Legs is a 2nd gen b-boy...but he's still at it.....much respect

  • crazylegs was not da inventer or da greatest but he was da most popular breaker eva. Hey memba beat street audition B.B's kicked zulu's ass big time. I still say he cant beat float or chino but dats ok. Duece from Dynamic will smoke legs in a battle. Dynasty was way before rocksteady and any crew in bronx. Bronx is fool of shit wit dat we created hip hop but they where a great part of da culture. Still peace out to legs he's a Boricua legend for many yrs to come.

  • YO LEGS STOP THE LIES YOU STARTED IN 79.Stop feeding.THE NEW JACKS PROPAGANDA.but I still have much love peace THE ORIGINAL POWERFUL PEXSTER.BRING KEN SWIFT BACK AND CUT THE ENVY.

  • A true legend...he's AMAZING!!!

  • Pleasure to know richie colon over the years. Good people. I've been to at least 10 RSC anniversaries since 1992. Watched RSC live in the early in the 80's. They use to wipe my crew up . lol He's done the most for b-boying culture in the world. God bless RSC , zulu nation, and GodFather bAM !!

  • i wonder what happened to the rest of the crew...

  • Hands Down the BEST breakdancer in the history of the Hip Hop culture. A true B-Boy to the MAX. Lived it, lives it and continues to live it every day. My respects to the man we all know as CRAZY LEGS from the RSC....

  • omg i love crazy legs. he's so damn good.

  • This is why you're a dancer and not a public speaker.....

  • That's why you're commenting on a true legend of american sub-culture and not to mention a true american icon & trend setter. Now you tell me what have you done?? "I didn't think so".

  • BuT tHeReS OnLy OnE cRaZy LeGs :)

  • fuck you for typin like a "DuMbAss" its madd annoyin

  • I wonder what Breaking or B-boying looked liked in 1977?

  • THE BEST!

  • they were fine!!!!!!!!!

  • Is there any footage of breaking from the 70's?

  • no, i just knew them. I used hangout with them in 99th street park on amsterdam avenue in nyc

  • try beat street

    thats a movie he's on

    its good stuf yo?!

  • @CrowdPleeza Now, THAT is what I would LOVE to see.

  • I wonder where Crazy worked since he mentioned that in the late 80s people went their own ways and started working.

  • He worked in a gym.

  • I love hip hop!

Goes to show, this dance came from a burning desperation in the ghettos, living a hard life, and they focused all of that passion, pain, anger, and heart, in to hip hop, and created something that would turn the world upside down.

  • ya, and after all the hard work RSC and other hip hop pioneers put into this, the so called Hip Hop artists of today , reverse that process!
