its sound so bluesy...and slash hasn't figured out the first solo....so in this case it was originally axl's part to fill it in with his awesome voice...
This is a demo of the rough tracks from AFD. Its awful. I bought this on vinyl and reel to reel in 1988,still have the record. Again its awful but it shows you how great studio magic can be.
@DrFuckingPepper I'm not gonna argue with you about how fast they played it, mostly because I commented over a year ago, but tape will slow it down, especially when you're converting it to a computer audio format.

This isn't GNR because my uncle has everything they ever played n made, nice try though...besides it's too slow for GNR style and thats' a wannabe axl rose u can tell
slayerplayer79 is purely fuckin retarded ...if your uncle had everything then he would have this ..if you dont think this sounds like W Axl Rose then you dont know shit about guns n roses... look up your facts before the flap your gums
@TheShakler I mean it's possible, but you have to be cautious about GNR stuff, there's alot of fake pretenders out there because they were such a popular band so there's always going to be imitators etc. To me, i'm not impressed with this version but that's my opinion. I think I've already outgrown GNR anyway. They used to care about the fans, but not anymore they just care about being spoiled with money and fame etc that's why their old music style cannot be reproduced
@slayerplayer79 Wow, talk about calling it wrong! Axl is a recluse who has given 2 interviews in 10+ years and spent millions of his own cash making the music he wants to make. What are you? A nickelback fan? Now I admit, Slash fits your comment perfectly. That overexposed sellout is probably recording with Selena Gomez as we speak.
Hey everyone that argues avout if this is from Ritz or not or from wherever...
This video just contain a picture from axl at the ritz.. But this is a demo from guns n roses before they released appetite for destruction. In their RT (Rumbo Tapes) album there also is an early version for Don't Cry. Check it out.

Yep that is definitely from the Ritzz 88 concert. New GnR have also done some concerts recently incorporating the Rumbo sound like this. Nowhere near as good though.
You're deaf, idiot, it's not from the ritz 88. Before running your mouth wide open and confirm to the world that you're an imbecile, do some goddamn research, retard.
This is one of the versions that Paul Stanley from Kiss produced....along with Anything goes and Don't Cry...Axl didnt like the direction that they were going with Stannley so they parted.

@mrkrinkle71 actually it's great :D you can hear the roots of the song and compare it to studio version :)

the reason it's so slow, people, is because of the tape. The tape records it slightly slower than they play it.
bryonshea 2 years ago
@bryonshea
No, it's because they PLAYED it this fast.
It's only later on in their early career. that they rocked it up and heightened the BPM.
