  • The King of Rock & Roll

  • GO Robert GO

  • AMAZING HISTORY OF MUSIC GREAT EVEN TODAY!!!

  • wow !!!!! johnnie (b goode ) johnson on piano

  • You know you're cool when Buddy Holly covers YOUR song.

  • Well now i do believe that it none other than Keith Richards at 1:40

  • WHAT A SONG NOTHING BUT TALENT AND HISTORY. A GREAT DUO.

  • ROLL & ROCK IT!!

  • holy fuck im all golf wang, but other then odd future this music destroys everything

  • can anyone say ROCK AND ROLL??

  • Chuck Berry=Rock&Roll.

  • Why Hendrix never played with Rock'n'Roll Kign?! Why?!

  • the king!

  • Hey, do you think "Brown Eyed Girl" was meant as a sequel to this? (yuk yuk yuk).

  • ...... I think Buddy's version was better. This was too slow for me.

  • @JiggyMonster98 Try listining to the mp3 version. It's a little faster.

  • @JiggyMonster98, I like both versions.

  • so is it true what the song says? All white girls wana suck a colored man's dick? maybe except for oriental men lol

  • @11rockabilly That piano player is Johnny Johnson.

  • love this song so much, wicked performance, also really love buddy holly's cover... he is deadset the only white man that did bo diddley and chuck berry songs justice :)

  • and who said blacks didnt invent rock n roll

  • My destination is a brown eyed handsome man! Preferably Chuck Berry, but Robert Cray would do too! LOL ♥ Love this version ,but grew up on Chuck Berry!

  • Keith Richards in the background...check it

  • Keith Richards handles the intro to this and sounds JUST like Chuck. Robert Cray's lead on this is awesome too. These guys are living legends. The kids wanting to play guitar should listen to this to understand where it all came from. I mean the simple-sounding chords are not that simple to play. I grew up with hard rock like Zeppelin, AC/DC, Maiden, etc... and that is what as a band we would play, then I got interested in the blues and went back, listened to this and WOW!

  • @srvnumber1fan Right on.... that's the road I walked too.....

  • @srvnumber1fan AHMEN Brother you said a train load... Bet your a better rock n roll player for it too.

  • that maybe the case........

  • He talkin about a ball game. 2 3 the count. hit a fly ball. man who scored the run was a brown eyed handsome man.....

  • @spankykeew - can't figure it - ain't no such thing as a 2-3 count. 2 balls 3 strikes? Maybe Chuck didn't know baseball too good.

  • Why 2-3 the count? Was it because a black man has three strikes against him from the get go? Anyone?

  • @lancer89032 I always wondered why he said "2-3 the count." Your guess sounds very plausible to me.

  • WOW i never knew that mohammed ali used to sing :P

  • Good old uncle Chuck. They don't make them like him anymore.

  • 60s strat in candy apple :P

  • Greatness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is were Chuck slapped keith for playing wrong. haha

  • good jam but honestly no match to Buddy Holly ...

  • @11rockabilly johnny johnson

  • hi folks, Im from the St Louis area and have run into a couple of people who where there for this concert. It was Chucks 60th Birthday and Keith Richards put it together because he is , as well as the rest of the Stones, a huge Chuck Berry fan. Im a huge CB fan too. Ive seen him at a little concert locally, I was maybe 10ft from him. This is one of the best jobs on Brown Eyed Man I've seen, Robert Cray was great.

  • now, that's pure rock&roll

  • Chuck Berry rules. Rules. Rules. Rules. Rules. Rules. Rules. Rules. Rules. Rules. Even though Chuck Berry isn't playing right now. He Rules. Rules. Rules. Wait what the hell that's Keith Richards. He rules too. Okay now Chuck's singing. Aw damn he stopped. I wanted to see him sing because he Rules. Rules. Rules. Rules. Rules. Rules. Rules. Rules. Rules. Rules. Rules. Rules. Rules. Rules. Rules. I guess Robert Gray does too.

  • Chuck was still doing good here. The more recent clips I think Chuck has just kinda lost his chops somewhat. I'm sorry to say! I remember seeing the late great Les Paul.... already way past his prime and he was still sticking his licks. Chuck Berry will forever be a legend and all Rock owes him the highest order of accolades. It just really makes me aware that time just does not stand still for any of us.

  • Chuck wrote that for Jackie Robinson.

  • Wow...that's one tight sounding little backing band, these dudes could go places.

  • Didn't Keith Richard organize this coz he is such a big Chuck Berry fan?

  • @August8th1969 correct

  • when was this filmed?

  • @roaringwaterbay / It was on Chuck Berry's 60th birthday concert in St. Louis 1986. The name of the film is Hail! Hail! Rock'N'Roll :)

  • Pure quality.

  • @baldyholly79 Yeah, great version!!!

  • One of the best versions ever and I love when Chuck fill in with his guitar. It is so nice. They are two great artists!

  • Is it Keith Richards, the white guy playing guitar?

  • @ilvaiani

    Oh yes!!

    Steve Jordan on drums too...

  • @63Brummie and Joey Spampinato of NRBQ fame on Bass.

  • @ilvaiani, yea Keith Richards is playing the guitar on this concert.

  • Chuck wrote some of the greatest tunes of the 50's.

  • @Smasher5257

Greatest tune of ALL TIME SMASHER my man....

  • I prefer the Buddy Holly version.

Chuck wrote it though, so respect to this version

  • He does it better than Chuck Berry! This is the best version, but it ruins it for me when Chuck starts to sing. He is a good guitar player, but Chuck Berry cannot sing!

  • Hes still young there! and hes (Johnny b) Goood

  • CHUCK. ROBERT. BRILLIANT STUFF. I love this vid keep on rockin.M S Wales.

  • keith richards 1:43?

  • yep

  • * * * * *

  • Not bad. But I think I would rather hear Chuck Berr doing the whole song.

  • iyoou!.......

  • I love this version of this song the BEST! :)

  • I agree. It is a very good version of the song. :)

  • Isn't that Mark Knopfler on the guitar, in the background?

  • No. Mark Knopfler doesn't appear in this concert.

  • Love it!!!

  • love it---great to hear Chucks songs getting young guns rockin

  • wat year is this

  • 85 i think

  • 86 because chuck is 60

  • This looks like the version from hail, hail, rock & roll- except that I remember Robert Cray being much hotter on guitar licks when I saw the movie. This version hers doesn't seem quite as good as the one I remember. ALSO LOVE ROBERT CRAY ON Stevie Ray Vaughan Tribute doing Lovestruck Baby. Other than that; I've listened to lots of Robert Cray's stuff and don't really care for any of it

  • How about "Smoking Gun?" That's one Cray recording I couldn't live without.

  • love it---Chuck Berry lyrics
