Is this game totally playable without being able to read japanese? Thinking of getting a 64DD and really want this one, can you edit tracks nprob without japanese ?

well, if you can memorize menus and learn what each option does without knowing what's written in them, you can get through and make tracks no problem.

i learned like that and after a while i was making tracks like if it was in english.

outside the editors, the game has very little japanese. if you have the US version, it will be great help to know the minor details.

@weareverysorry To spin, I press both R and Z repeatedly (noob-attitude lol) and for the stars, it's simple! Kill a car! When you kill a car, you get a star!

i just noticed this, but it looks kind of like kirby's air ride is a ripoff of this game. only without the custom track editor. and some other things i can't put my finger on.

btw, this is a pretty cool glitch/ secret

Kirby Air Ride isn't really anything like this, besides being a Nintendo racer with a hyper speed powerup/powerdown that has F-Zero like speeds and some futuristic "Air Ride Machines". While some parts may or may not of meant to pay homage in the same way as Capitan Falcon's helmet in Kirby Super Star, the whole game is pretty much different. Race wise, the only things I can note that they share that other racing games don't have is the ability to attack with your own vehicle by spinning.

not really, it may be similar but in city trial you can get off your car and get other ones, plus there are hiddenn pieces power ups and the bird eye vie mode that kind feels like a mini game is totaly diferent. although i gues the spin atack was kinda riped off.
