  • Good video.. recommended video tutorial

  • this was like "hey it's my bike show"

  • what type of bike would u recomend for a 250 pound man? in a $100 range give or take $20

  • @MyGamertagSIeepy702 $100 budget???? real mountain bikes start at $1500. For $100 just go to walmart and pick which ever one has either dual suspension and/or disk brakes if they have them for that cheap. For 250lbs, buy a wide seat.

  • if your weight more then 150 double shock bike is not for you

  • one, two, three, four sites .... wow he's able to count

  • Thumbs up if you like the dog walking in front of the camera!

  • Hey guys, i'm a beginner in mountain biking. A few weeks ago i bought a kranked republic mountain bike.

If you guys could reply asap and let me know if it's a good bike or not, it would be much appreciated. Thanks

  • What type of brakes/shifters does that bike have?

  • did he say o-plomb??????????

  • i liked this vid because of the dog..

  • I had one of these a 24" and it bollocked out on me in 5 months! But I'm currently going bike shopping for a hard tail or another dual suspension

  • This is not "how-to" video but "what-is".

  • No disk brakes

  • @davids7319

who cares about lightness on mountain bikes beside's maby XC riders

    its all about stoping power

  • What model is this

  • @McIrish12 pretty sure its an Specialized FSR Stumpjumper

  • haha. That is the exact same bike i have. i love it.

  • Why v brakes again? Discs are soooooo much better

  • ExpertVillage.. The most hated and least informational channel in the world.

  • 0:33 i see your bitch

  • i live on a montainous area. here MTB is the best. rear suspension its goes down easy. its no bearing. the bike after wile become deformed and the one front weel and the rear weel tracking distance will rise more than 10 what is not good. Only front suspension is good for me. Bikeing expreince i have 27 years.

  • every hater in this video is gay and a DUMB F.......

  • this guy is completely and absolutely retarded.

  • Comment removed

  • Folks are such haters. really!? You're bustin' this guy because he doesn't ride like you think he should. REAL pros in ANY sport, can get it done with whatever they have in front of them. That's what makes them pro, not their toys.

  • What? He doesn't have ABS on that???? He's no expert!! He's so stupid!! I know because I know EVERYTHING!!

  • Alot these comments are retarded, before hydraulic disc brakes were affordable for everyone, you went down the mountain with the regular cantilever brake system. So not only is it ok to do, but it used to be the norm.

  • That bike is too big for youuuu

  • That bike is too big for youuuu

  • Disks only

  • The Breakes is a real shit , are not a disk OOOOMGG

  • i won't go down a hill without my hydraulic disk brakes

  • dual shift's & no disc brakes? yeah! you expert! ha ha ha ha ha

  • Why the hell has this guy got a full suspension, fox forks equipped specialized bike without disk brakes! I mean it's gonna be pretty dangerous going DH riding (properly) with rim brakes! Man expert village you really are weird

  • 0:36 random dog

  • is trek 3500 2010 a good mountain bike for a beginner that is just getting in to MTB ?

  • @lightningwar123 If u have the extra dollars, get the trek 3900 disc. Great components and durability for the price

  • wht profile tyres u have on tht bike ?

  • i just got a diamondback sorrento today, havnt had a chance 2 ride it yet

  • Does any one know the brand BULLS FS 300? it is a beutiful bicycle made in Holland, I would like to know the price range for this type of bicycle, I had it assembled here in the USA, the guy at the store fell in love with it, I want to sell it, I could not find any info in the web regarding this bicycle, if any one has any idea about the price please let me know or a link on the web where I could find information will also be appreciated, thanks.

  • ie cam stupid

  • i want to buy new tyres do u have a good brand for me i was thinking about kenda but if u know something better that would be allot of help

  • @lordvedron Maxxis.

  • He's just showing off his bike. How does this help you find the right bike?

  • I just got an intense m1! Bikes solid :)

  • im sticking with my hardtail, nice ride thou

  • Just bought a yeti asx and it is SWEEEEEEETTTTTTT!!!!!

  • 26 pound full suspension bike. Perfect for entry level or weekend warriors. If your fitness and skills are really good, this bike will drive you crazy - like riding with a boat anchor. I'll never forget when I went from a 27 pound Epic to a 21 pound hard tail. The difference in speed was like driving a 4 banger truck vs. a 911 turbo.

  • I just got my Specialized P all mountain disc and its great!! I would recommend it to anyone!

  • specialized is the way forward ! P1:AM 2010 <3

  • specilized is the way forward ! P1:AM 2010 <3

  • Learn how to ride that dual suspension bike at the Bikeskills Channel on YouTube. Subscribe and enter to win FREE Gear!

  • I wanted disk brakes.. But nao I have the M50 Mountain Trail-made in the USA! :3

  • All I can say is that I like boobies.

  • @JTMarlin8 i like boobies too :)

  • @bigwillisawesome same here! :-D

  • @themountainbiker1

A 13 pound mongoose? yeah right

  • haha that guy is a douche i have a GT mach one racing bmx that i use in competition and thats 20lbs how a mountainbike let alone mongoose with a rep for being heavy can be 13 lbs... i think he's talking bout the frame alone ;) haha

  • yawn

  • epic fail

  • A pro with no disk brakes. i just wasted 3minutes and 42 seconds...

  • u dont need disk brakes to be a pro i used to ride rim breaks intill i started dh

  • i know lol, but alot of pros have disk brakes. I also used to have rim brakes until i started dh

  • man i love my discs there macanical but i want sum avid jucey 7s i think idk i have avid bb7s and there great they stop fast but hydrolic stop even faster

  • yes, avid juicy 7s own, but are xpensive. Avid bb7 are good, but dont look that good though.

  • i bet there comeing on the bike im looking at so its all good

  • @Leok450 its an expert village video, you can't expect much

  • @Leok450 shut up you idiot its probably a company bike

  • @lfshannu As you see I commented 7 months ago. And its a specialized, if the guy was right in the head, he wouldve got the disc brake models.

  • @Leok450 Obviously your tiny head couldn't comprehend my comment. the bike probably isn't even his. the company probably supplies it and he never uses it.

  • @Leok450 some v brakes kick discs to shit + that is 2008 man

  • @TheMRamstaff lmao. Hell no. Disc is WAY better than v brakes. Disc can get wet and you won't have to worry about the brakes slipping when it is wet. It is great for muddy or and wet conditions. V brakes WILL slip when it is wet because it uses rubber to stop. When it is wet, it WILL slip. So NO v brake can "kick discs to shit". Discs allow maximum stopping power and durability. Although its a bit heavier, they provide stopping power that v brakes can't compare to.

  • @Leok450 not everyone prefers disk brakes buddy lol

  • @Leok450 maybe hes too poor to get 1

  • @Leok450 its 43 seconds

  • @06tolsonl Lol for me it says 42

  • @Leok450 You have training wheels and a basket on your bike!!!!

  • @perthgloryboy Wheres your proof? Also why are you replying to a comment that is over a year old?

  • @Leok450 You have to consider the loading time, ads, writing the comment, finding the video. All in all I'd say you've wasted around 4 minuites and 30 seconds. This estimate is of course dependent on whether or not you wrote the comment as you were watching.

  • @Leok450 discs are no good when wet m8

  • @MrNxjohn You think that i dont know that? Same goes for rim brakes duhhh.

  • @Leok450 they work better then disks

  • @MrNxjohn actually disks are fine when wet...and a lot better than wet rim brakes because of the design that develop every year....and they dont even need to be expensive :)

  • @likepieproductions i fitted some to my bike when they first come out and i broke my arm cos when wet never worked and when dry they lock the wheel i'm not saying cos i think i'm some know it all i'm saying i'v never had any bad knocks till used disks but if they develop the design each year who knows cos i happy with out disks

  • @MrNxjohn ahh yes i forgot about the blocking thing...yeah in that case u would need the really expensive ones that dont block

  • @Leok450 maybe V-brakes are lighter than disc brakes ? and perhaps easier to maintain.

  • @tundrasheep Omfg, the comment is so old! Most mountain bikers use disc brakes because they perform better, and look better. Generally v brakes work, but really, he didnt even mention disc brakes.

  • @Leok450 He mentions disc brakes @ 3:40

  • retard in the video i think we know how to shift .

LESSON 2 GUY IN VIDEO MUST FUCK HIMSELF

  • i agree with everyone else your vid is crap all u r doing is telling us about your bike and p.s. my hard tail would give that bike a run for its over priced specialized price tag and full sus

and i ride a 06 fisher marlen upgraded disc

  • Umm i'm pretty sure most of the people looking at this video aren't retarded, so pls don't talk to us like we are "you want to keep this side of the bike up, not this side" and i agree with others on here, you arent telling us how to choose a bike, you are just telling us about yours, and a few other people on here are right, specialized sux! But Kbizzl, pls dont accuse all mtn bikers of being tossers just because of fwits like this?

  • check out my bad boy bike its the marin 2010 model cost £2500 enjoy

  • theres no way its 26 lbs buddy

  • Mountain bikes are good for almost anything including streets especially with smooth threaded & thinner tires: like tougher hybrids or "super hybrids". Can go real fast too and, unless you're a road speeding competitor, are the best choice.

  • are mountain bikes bad for using on the street???

  • there fine but the grip on the tire gets fuked easily

  • It's okay. Especially for a run to 7-11 or store. Make sure you put a basket in front..you'll be fine.

  • LOL

  • all u did was tell us about your bike lol, nothing to do with how to choose a bike, and specialized sucks! haha

  • 26 lbs my ass...

  • going downhill is the hardest part.

  • nah downhills piss its gone back up after thats the bummer!

  • nobody needs a full suspension mountainbike for some singletrack trailriding...The only time where you need a fully is downhill...

    and spezialized is crap

  • check out my gt -drive ;-)

  • sonn i'll purchase the rocky mountain flatline pro its gonna eat your cheep bike muhahaha

  • ive got £200 for a mountain bike does anyone know what would be the best buy?

  • im going to spend max 500 dollars(euros) on a bike. Im thinking about 3 models, wich one should i choose?

    -specialized hardrock disc

    -gt avalanche 2.0

    -scott aspect 55

Please answer me with ur opinion. thanks

  • hey i just bought a gt avalanche 2 for 440 pounds. for the money its a really good bike. ive been doing 5ft drop off"s and big table tops and nothings gone wrong.

  • i can do 5ft drop offs on my bmx.. i can do 6 ft even with bmx nothings gone wrong... my specialized p2 chromo is good also..

  • how i can choice a good brand of Mt. Bike

  • rockt mountain or scott or kona

  • "allot of people prefer disk breaks" well durr their sooooooooooo much better a good set of hydrolic disks like avid jucy 3's or 5's

  • i have a Rocky Mountain slayersxc70 and its way better than that peice of crap

  • and a mongoose bike could rip yours to shreds

  • To be fair, its mainly down to the rider matey.

  • i love his disc brakes

  • xD lol that was good

  • he doesnt have disc brakes. lol

  • Nice garage door hinges.

But what is the retard in the red long sleeve jacket doing?

  • lawl i like his dog

  • r u talking about sam hill

  • Trust me if you DH you would want disks, but thanks for trying to prove a point.

  • dude you dont need them...how did people downhill before the advent of disks on bikes ? we live in the age of overkill so i guess i understand your point

  • have you ever heard of transition bike co ?

  • wtf disc brakes are the best now!!

  • If you're excluding hydro's.

  • that bike is trash !

  • those breaks are complete shit, its called disk breaks.

  • "This bike will tackle pretty much any kind of trail you throw at it with ease" LIAR!!! Somebody has never been free riding

  • you stank

  • 1:42 he likes that....

    hahahahaha

  • thats funny!!!!!!!!!!! XD

  • that dog was the best part of the video

  • Hahah yeah

  • crazii shifting! its partially a brake and partially a shifter thats insane

  • Shit learn English, took me time trying to understand what you wanted to say.

  • its got okay travel... but the frame wheels and brakes suck

  • I just bought a Commencal Meta 5.5.2 and it's awesome. It was between that and a Giant Reign X2. I chose the Commencal as it's 9lb lighter, has better breaks and better running gear. It takes big hits as well as some of the longer travel bikes I've tried or seen ridden (biggest I've hit was about 6/7 feet so far) and when you come to the climbs it just excels. so much quicker uphill or on the flats than a freeride specific rig and if I ever need more travel I'll upgrade or buy a new rig.

  • you might want to look into the freeride bikes because of their granny gear and long travel , those bikes are generally the do it all bikes because they offer a good blend of all around performance

  • what??? good blend of all performance + granny gear and long travel?

  • lol they basicly cant go uphills unless u are lance armstrong

  • cant climb worth cram on my free ride bike. so consider your comment on free ride bikes being the do it all bikes. i believe the 6 inch bike all mountain is the do it all

  • Can anyone give me some advice please? I have a Schwinn hardtail which I really like but I'm getting more into downhill stuff. My budget is under £1000 and I'm looking for something that can handle fairly rugged downhill routes aswell as being comfy on the uphills and xc stuff. I'm not looking to do anything really extreme like big jumps but I need something strong. I'm willing to go for older models or good second hand. Thanks!

  • kona shed

  • Thanks. I have a limited choice as I'm getting the bike as part of the governments 'cycle to work' scheme and it has to be under £1000. I wanted the Spec Pitch but it sold out, so looks like I'll be getting a Giant Trance X 5. It has great reviews and seems to be a good all rounder with an emphasis on downhill trail rides, which is just what I'm wanting.

  • what is a good bike for down hill, some xc, some dirtjumping some freeriding

i have a specilized p2 and it is not cuting it

  • how much do you want to spend?

  • are hardtail bikes good for wheelies?

  • yep

  • yea full sus is easier tho

  • i agree with yorntje downhill/freeride bikes have real suspension. thats what i ride and that what you can do all the crazy stuff on

  • 2.42 thanks for the tip retard

  • Lol and 3.27.

  • i just had my bike stolen, got a bit of a bargain on a near new stumpy which i didnt want to pass up, plus i wanted a replacement, its a xxl though!! im 193cm i think and it kinda seems too big, anyone else got a xxl? its pretty big!

  • people, look at downhill/freeride bikes those have REAL suspension

  • exactly. XC / AM don't have any high tech crap any more. It takes 7+ inches to even require any high tech suspension. Anything less is fine on meh... *fsr*

  • He dosn't say too much about bike ergonomics

  • wtf dual suspension is NORMAL for trail riding? pfft the hard tail vid was good but he knows nothing about dual suspension

  • ROCK LOBSTER!!!

  • i would go for disc brake o.O JYCIE disk brake

  • i got a bike from k mart it was 300 bucks on sale. it has front and rear suspension and disc brakes(cables)im going to smash it through the bush tommorow. i will see if it breaks. it is a repco parkour lol. it has a good y frame and was the most expensive bike in k mart so it might be good. chinese manufacturing has made bikes so cheap. its awesome.

  • you will probably hurt yourself. K mart / walmart bikes are meant for the street, regardless of their worthless full suspension that takes a 400lb guy to make active with all its 1/2 in of travel they get.

  • i got a mountain bike with full suspension and the same brakes as on the video. i do a lot of trail and mountain riding and i was wondering if i may need disc brakes?? or buy a different bike with disc brakes? is v brakes okay for mountain and trail? anyone. thanks

  • The only 2 advantages of dics (especially hydro's) is that they can slow the bike down quicker and they dont loose much breaking force in the wet. V brakes are enough for what you do (mainly XC) but you can easily upgrade if your frame/fork/hubs can take a disc and a caliper

  • No no no no admarshall. The advantage of disc brakes is they work in all types of weather, as rubber pads don't.

Disc brakes also reduce brake fade during long runs, and brake more consistently. Nothing to do with slowing down quicker. NOTHING. A rubber pad will grab the same no matter what. Its the surface of the rim you have to worry about. Disc brakes don't use a rim to break, and use a disc instead. Rims get dirty as discs are less opt to. I suggest you research before you comment.

  • it depends what tpye of bike you have...if you have a wal mart bike well its not worth puting disc on it..disc brakes cost like $150 to get them put on..so if you do have a cheap bike i would wait til you get i nicer one then get disc brakes on it or not if it already has it

  • Disc brakes cost like 150$ to get them on? Are you that uhhh out of the loop?

You can get mechanical disc brakes (if you have disc mounts to begin with) for 40 a set and take the 5 min to put them on, or you can get 500$ hope brakes and do the same thing. It takes welded disc mounts to run them, or an adapter like we used to use on out 2k+ bmx race bikes. Either way, you can do it for nothing, or very expensive. There is no $150 price line. Its what ever quality you are looking for.

  • the haro escape 8.1 is the PERFECT bike for me:D

  • yeh if u want a downhill bike giants are usally good to have and man that bike is light u wanna be carefull u dont go over lol some trails could kill u with that weight

  • nuthinwrong with V brakes they are way lighter, I got disc and I like them I aint worried about the wieght.
