  • I carry the Streamlight ProTac evry day. 2 AA batts. 3 different modes and carry's easy. HIGHLY recommend.

  • i highly recommend the stream light stylus pro c4

  • should see my Stylus Pro its gone to hell and back

  • BTW I freakin love these things! Got the Pro and the Microstream. The only issue I have had is the clip bending out on the Pro, but other than that these lights are awesome! Highly recommend for an EDC or small kit.

  • The new 2011-2012 Stylus Pro is 48 lumens.

I'm not sure if it has already been mentioned - I don't feel like going through all the comments.

  • I just found out that the small pink mag lite that my dad has used for years and years broke. Over the holiday I brought my fenix headband with the quark mini home, used with much success btw, and it's mind blowing how much brighter the tiny little quark is than the old style lights. But I'm going to get him a stylus pro to replace the mag lite in his garage. Awesome reviews man.

  • I gathered together the money and have a Quark mini AA2 by 4sevens... I'm completely happy with it, I love it. But for some reason, I feel like I need to get one of these... 6 months ago I didn't give a care about flashlights.. before I found Nutn.. :[

  • Almost bought one of these for my EDC and medkit uses, BUT

I went with the Preon 2. I loved the multi-settings, the thinner, cleaner look, and I got the preon for around $30, definitely worth the extra $10.

    NICE review!

  • nice!!

  • I Just bought a stylus streamlight and a pro, awsome lights I edc both.

  • Although some people would say his video is pretty long and draggy but I enjoyed watching his video, it's very detailed and I learnt alot from him. The first light I bought after watching his video was the LD20. And this time I bought a Streamlight Stylus Pro C4 after watching his video again. Keep up the good work nutn.

  • i ordered a stylus pro and a stylus streamlight before i finished the video lol i have them next to me and they are AWSOME

  • @armedtetrapod btw they come with an extra rubber button now and the pocket clip cant have a lanyard on it no milling of the clip

  • My new Stylus pro just in ... 48 lumens!! >>new<<C4 LED.. amazing penlight!

  • Hey nutn, is it 24 lumens or 48 lumens? I went over to the Streamlight website and it says 48.

  • @MrQuackism Streamlight uses C4 LED now 48 lumens! Great light, real beauty!

  • @rali4850 That sounds like a very good news! Well, what about the runtime, any idea?

  • @MrQuackism Buy and try!

  • Nutn,

I just got one of the Stylus Pro's about a week ago and they now come with an extra rubber clicker in the package. I noticed in your review you mentioned that they didn't. Maybe they watch youtube and fixed that... You are totally correct about this light though. I have found myself LOOKING for reasons to use mine!

  • I just got mine in the mail because of this video, its the tits.

  • nutnfancy can you send me one streamlight pro as a giveaway???

  • Just ordered one because of your review Nutn. Thank you for the information. Very happy with the light.

  • When it comes to gift giving i have a similar philosophy....I always give a knife.. multitool..or light that ive used and know to be a quality product..... For those who arent gadget users these gifts are often revelations.... Give someone a Victorinox Champion and you will be remembered 3x a day.... A Kershaw Skyline to someone not familiar with modern pocket clip liner locks is like discovering sliced bread.....Same for high quality LED lights...These are truely the gifts that keep giving.

  • Well, brightguy finally got the new 48 lumen C4 versions in and mine arrived today. I've been playing w/it this afternoon and tonite. I really like it. I got a blue one so that it does NOT look tacticool when I EDC at work (khakis & Oxfords). I IWB it at 8 o'clock w/a blue MiniGriptilian at 4 o'clock. Still cost $20. Very bright for 2 AAs. Can't wait for CA to go Shall Issue because of the federal lawsuits Calguns Foundation has filed (or other fed lawsuits). Then I'll be set!

  • Which would you choose for urban edc, like offices and around the house and car. Which is the cheapest?

  • same as the Septor review, same problem with this one too and streamlight Argo. i bought one on clearance rack off of Botach site, soon as i opened the battery cover both " O " broke apart, they were dry and brittle. I assuming since it's a clearence it has been siting on some shelf at some warehouse for sometime with no humdity or temp control. i never encounted a situation where the " O " rings failed like that. i gues i got what i paid - cheap ass made china shit

  • I know it doesn't mean much nutnfancy but thanks for keeping it real

  • Does anyone Know if you can Unscrew the Head part.? The Opposite end of where the batteries go in.

I want to buy this light as NF made it sound awesome.:) But that would be my selling point if i did.:-)

    THanks

  • They have AAAA batteries in 9v energizer batteries.

  • The Streamlight webpage for the Stylus Pro shows it now has a C4 LED that puts out 48 lumens w/1,033 candela peak. I was thinking about a 4Sevens Preon 2, but w/an EDC light carried for nite non-lethal SD, I don't want to have to click thru a bunch of functions to get to 50 or more lumens (and possibly click past it). A single function light is like a DOA HGN for SD (vs having to deal w/manual safeties when the SHTF). Thin is great for IWBing at 8 o'clock.

  • @phantominca I just ordered one, it said 24 lumans, could not find any of the newer 48 lumens. Seems odd.

  • @marcussho I emailed Streamlight saying I was unable to find anyplace w/the 48 hr lumens version. They said they won't be shipping them out until late May. Ugh! Sorry. I guess I'll have to wait until early June to buy one. Maybe you can return yours/cancel your order if you don't want the 24 lumen one. (Or keep it and give it to a friend as a present?)

  • ive never even heard of a AAAA battery!!!!

  • lol. Boba Fett wear? All of a sudden my old beat up crap is COOL!

  • I bought this light today based on your video (just happened to see one in the store). Tonight I had to go outside and turn the water off for a plumbing repair. I grabbed the Stylus Pro thinking I'd "make do" with it. THIS LIGHT IS TOTALLY AWESOME!!! When I was done with the home repair I grabbed my trusty 5 cell mag light to see how they compare. The Stylus Pro throws every bit as much light as that heavy Mag Light.

  • Sold. Thank you nutnfancy now I can shed some light on my life.

  • Just ordered one for my EDC in silver. Can't wait to get it...

  • the only problems with this light I have found are the switches tend to fail after awhile. I own more than one and two have had to be replaced. The second problem is that streamlight no longer replaces the whole unit but is now just replacing the switch. Pelican lights have better warrenty in my opinon. The shealth also stinks of petroleum products on the ones I've had.

  • Nutn,

What flashlight would you recommend for your SHTF bag. I am looking for one that is priced cheaply but still has quality.

  • I'm getting the stylus pro jus cus of this review...

  • WOOHOOO I just got my Streamlight Stylus Pro in the mail from the Nutnfancy Impact guns giveaway, ITS AWESOME.

  • @Kylef7735 Woo hoo!!! Glad you are happy, they are awesome little lights. --Veri

  • I am a physican and I use the Stylus pro daily in the ER.

I was tired of flashlights which broke when dropped.

Other physicans borrow it from me. Guys get one yourself. Awesome.

I use it as a tactical light at home too, so light.

  • @baumstark Great comment, doc. -- Veri

  • @baumstark nice! If I'm ever in the ER, wouldn't mind if I saw my doc with a Streamlight, I'd wake up from being unconscious and say, "cool light doc!"

  • In the video you comment on the o ring wearing out. When I had the same problem with mine I contacted the company asking about buying another and they sent me a half dozen at no charge. That is great customer service.

  • Okay the Sylus Pro has 24 lumens and the Micro Stream is a LED light but has 20 lumens which would be brighter ?

  • @counkev the higher the number the brighter the light

  • picked up a pro today based on the good review, didn't work right out of the package. Thought maybe it was the batteries so i replaced them, still didnt work. If you tap on the front it will flicker, good thing they have lifetime warrenty is all the good i can say about this light so far

  • @s76766h Take it right back and get another one. We have heard of the odd lemon, but once you get one that works, I think you will be really happy with it. Leave a follow up comment, if you will. =) -- Veri

  • just got the blue stylus pro today, so far very impressed and good review

  • I dropped my Stylus Pro in a parking lot today while running to my car in a heavy thunderstorm. I found it about 4 hours later after several inches of rainfall having been run over at least once, picked it up, wiped it off, clicked the button, still works like a champ. Quality product here.

  • styluspro is a win, simple yet rugged design, great light for only $20, Great review Nutn, as always... good job!

  • maybe something that will sound very stupid but if there's a piercing store in your town/neighbourhood , you can normally get lots of o-rings in various sizes ! it will maybe not be the same as the o-rings attached to this light but i think it would be a good deal to have as backup o-rings ... and they're avaible from 1.6mm to what i know 1inch+ ! so ..... just an idea

  • OMG, review is cool as always, but I, a flashagolic, don't appreciate the stuff in it... I will better carry LD20 with me. It is just a bit larger, but a MUCH more bright

  • Does this mean that the Stylus Pro is replacing the Stylus 1 in you ROL EDC?

  • Just picked up two of these and they rock. EBay had them NIB for just over $16 each with free shipping.

  • Hey NutN! A quick tip regarding the o-ring problem: Using alcohol on the o-rings is not the best idea; o-rings need lube! While you -can- get dedicated o-ring grease at the hardware store (plumber's grease), or for mechanics (PBR Grease), you should at least use Vaseline... Don't need a big jar of Vaseline? Vaseline Lip Therapy does the trick, too! Thanks again for all the vids!

  • That Stylus Pro makes me crazy!

I just love that little light, simple and very usefull...

  • My stylus pro has been through a cycle in the washing machine! The rubber cap is just barely hanging on, but the light still works great. I love it! BTW, you rock nutnfancy!

  • Excellent Video,Check out the SNAP-ON 2 AAA Penlight,80 Lumens.$25

  • @AtticusA1 how's Scout and Jem doing? They must be going on 50 now.

  • My Stylus Pro has been a great pocket, every day carry light.

  • I had 2 Stylus Pros--both failed at the on/off button. The factory replaced both for free but I had to pay postage.

  • I got my stylus pro yesterday. It is not as bright but, is a higher quality than my surefire L4($180). It fits in the pen pocket on my ACU duty uniform with some modification. Thanks Nutnfancy!

  • I love the stylus pro. Thanks Nutn for introducing me to them.

@dude157 I figured someone would have mentioned that. A great tip. One brand I know won't work is Rayovac 9V. They're made up of small rectangular cells.

  • Went and bought 2 stream light stylus pro's for my edc, and hunting pack, fits great in carpenter jeans side pocket. The AAA batters, the same as my gps and 2 way radios was the seller.

  • For those that have the sylus, AAAA batteries can be obtained very easilly, If you purchase your standard 9V PP3 Batteries (you know, the rectangular type with the two terminals on the top) open one up, they are made up of 6 AAAA batteries.

Making your AAAA very affordable, and obtainable from just about any show that sells batteries.

    Hope this helps

  • PS make sure you buy a good quality 9V PP3 though, as the quality control on some batteries is poor, and the AAAA cells maybe of different voltages.

    Go with duracell

  • @dude157 AMEN! Right as I heard that, I thought the same thing. ^_^

  • Got mine in the mail today from Amazon and it didn't work.

  • Contacted Amazon and they are sending me a replacement w/ 2-day shipping.

  • I bought one. Nice light for the price. Video perhaps someday.

  • Anyone else find it difficult to fully click the on switch...slightly difficult not impossible...just curious if its normal

  • picked up two of these in Blue. Very sharp light!

  • Found the light at BassPro and yep i love it ! Thanx

  • My red anodized Stylus Pro has been in my inventory for a month now and I'm unable to wear it out. Great light for the money, slightly limited by lumens but not by quality nor availability as it is one you will actually carry all the time. Excellent recommendation. Impress your friends---get one!

  • I received the Stylus Pro for Christmas. It is a very impressive light. The flood capacity is not impressive yet what is surprising is how far the beam will cast. I currently carry this with me everywhere. The light output is about 24 lumens for 7.5 hours. It's waterproof, shockproof, corrosion proof, and it has battery power regulating electronics (the light won't start super bright and become dimmer as the battery dies). I give it 3 thumbs up!

  • Boba Fet wear. lol. Rock.

  • Great review. These are good lights. My favorite small AAA torch is the Fenix Digital LD01, but it does cost a little more than the Streamlights. Incredible brightness and really good white light color.

  • Thanks nutnfancy. I was never a fan of AAA LED lights until I saw your video. I bought the one cell version, the micro stream light. My next purchase will be the stylus pro. Keep up the gear reviews!

  • got a stylus pro for my dad for christmas, and it's a nice light.. but it's hard as hell to turn on! you can't just click it with the flat part of your thumb. you have to press INTO the cap with the tip of your thumb (and with quite a bit of pressure, too!). it's difficult even to do that (thumb tip is still too wide), but much easier with the tip of the index finger.

all-around, it's just awkward to click.

  • I just might need to get one of these! seeing as I need a new EDC Light

  • Comment removed

  • just got my stylus pro for christmas and so far im really diggin it

  • You could also check out Fenix LD05 penlight, 100 lumens. a little more expensive tho.

i use the small and cheap Fenix E01 in olive drab on my keychain. also as EDC light i got the excellent LD10. and i also got the very practical MC-10 for all kinds of outdoors use or for when i need to use both hands but dont want to use a headlamp as i can just hang it to my vest or put it on a table, hang it like a lantern in a tent etc.. id also love to get a light with the new cree rgb led, for AA's...

  • btw, all lights i mentioned are either AA or AAA's...

  • After watching your vid I went and bought 2 of the Stylus pros one for me and one as a gift for my brother, Excellent lights for an addition to my E.D.C. system. I really preferred the pro for the AAA batteries, excellent review Thank you fro helping point out a high value product.

  • Nutnfancy... check the specs on the microstream. Yeah it has a much shorter run time, but the brightness is about the same as the stylus pro. I have it and it is imo an even better edc light. It slips into the pocket and you will forget you have any light with you. If you don't have one I suggest getting one.

  • My Streamlight Stilus Pro just arrived today and Wow, what a light. First impression is good. Thanks NutnFancy for the great advice. Sweet

  • Ordered one from impactguns while watching video. $15.99 on sale I couldnt pass it up.

  • i would love to see a Fenix LD05 next to those, 100lumens in a pen?!?! are u kidding me?!?! i know its 300% more expensive but its 400% BUUT:

LD05 = brighter....q5...multiple modes..1.5 ounces...aaa...no bulb buldge.....definately sounds like something nutnfancy would edc / put in the pack.

  • Merry Christmas, there I'm not afraid of being non politically correct.

  • Merry Christmas, partner.

  • Merry Christmas, Tex! =) -- Veri

  • Bought one after watching your video, thanks. What a great little light, very bright for size. Very portable. It will be on my person from now on. Absolutely pleased. Keep up the good work.

  • Great light, Great gift suggestion.

    Thanks

  • I just bought one of these the other day, FYI a lot of online retailers seem to be jumping around on the price. I ended up ordering mine from Impactguns for 19.80. BTW I mentioned in the comments that the reason I was A) ordering this item along with the others and B) ordering from them was because of watching your channel. I know you probably don't get anything directly but if it encourages them and indirectly some other companies to support TNP then that would be great. Thanks Nutn and Veri!

  • great lights hands down!

  • BTW, most 9v batteries have six AAAA batteries inside them. Youtube search: 9v battery hack.

Lets try to keep up noobs.

  • This was first suggested right after the vid had been uploaded... search down below.

    Who da noobzor now :P

    j/k ^^

  • seems like the clip would break pretty easy on the poly stylus, idk i havent used it. just a thought.

  • as a volunteer firefighter im gonna need a good light that can take abuse and isnt too expensive, i had my eye on a cuple fenix lights and a 30$ surefire then i saw this vid, haha thx

i think all the 29 000 ppl that have watched this went and bought one. i orderd one while it was in stock dec 3. got an email today and its backordered for a month....thanks nutn haha its your fault im sure. love you guys keep up the good work

  • Nutn I have serious concerns about the QC for the stylus pro because I've bought 4 of them and 1/2 of them aren't worth a crap. Let me explain:

I loved my first one and it worked until the day I lost it. The second one worked until I dropped it on the floor and it went on the fritz, getting worse until it didn't work at all. Then I bought two: one to replace the busted one and one for my dad. One worked fine OOB but the other did not. It works when I smack it but that's about it. What gives?

  • Ive carried a stylus pro for over a year now and i use it every day, either for work or just misc. task.s. I was given my first one as a present from a friend. I lost it several months later and found myself reaching for it whenever I entered an unlit area only to find it not there. I ordered a new one a week later. I love this light. I would be lost without it.

  • Awesome, got a Stylus pro on its way. thanks Nutnfancy

  • Great review as always! I sure hope you'll be picking up the new penlights that just came out: Preon by 4Sevens and LD05 by Fenix. Just wanted to give a little heads up. :)

Take care now and happy holidays!

  • What camera are you using to film this?

  • What would alcohol do to a rubber o-ring? anyone know?

  • It would clean it. Make sure you apply a lubricant to it afterward, though. Dry o-rings wear out quick.

  • Sometimes. Not often. -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • It's all good. I really enjoyed this one. Now I want a Boba Fett stylus pro!

  • A nine volt battery is just 4 AAAA batteries inside a casing. just take a multitool and strip that casing off and voila. Great video nutnfancy!

"Why do we have the greatest military on earth?

Because we have the coolest flashlights." :P

  • Hey nutn, all you have to do is buy a 9volt battery and rip it open to get 6 AAAA batteries

  • Microstream is perfect for pocket carry. I have a few lights: 5 Fenix Lights, a few Streamlights....the Streamlight Microstream is the one I carry the most, goes in the front pant pocket - and in Nutn's words - you will forget its there. Cant do that with the larger Microstream. Just my 2 cents as I have both sizes.

  • Well at least you didn't watch it and THEN whine. -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • I hope this guy is getting paid for this, because if he isn't than he's frickin Hired! nice flashlights man.

  • rip open a 9v battery by energizer or duracell and there are 6 AAAA batteries in it

  • Looks like a nice little flashlight, I bought the Fenix LD20 because I needed a light and nutn said it was good, and wow that light is everything he said it was and a little more, so I really cant wait to get a couple of these, cool vid, 5*s, thanks for everything you do nutn and veri, keep it up, and I hope you both have a great Christmas.

  • you aint kidding about anyone liking these lights. my grandmother was needing a smaller light to help her find things around the house and she loves it!She just keeps it in her pen jar,and likes that it uses AAA since her tv remotes do to.......everyones light

    Great review 5 stars

Oh the blue may be low power but when tracking animals blood trails at night the blue makes blood stand out BIG TIME, so it has its purpose.....

  • how does the "UV" light compare to the white, in terms of brightness? or what's the difference?

  • I also have the Fenix TK11 R2, awesome 240 lumens, also ordered the PD30 one for me one for Dad for Christmas.

  • Nice gift for Papa. --- Veri

  • FETT FTW!!!!!!

  • I carry a Fenixstream! It's a streamlight microstream body and tail clicky but with the head of a L0D:Q4 with 3 outputs of lighting along with strobe and s.o.s. outputs.

    FenixStream FTW!

  • that's tight light

  • Just got mine in the mail, the stylus pro for my first aid kit. Very Nice

  • I've not watched until the end cuz the vids 25 mins long, but in the nd they're just little lights, I mean well done for ranting on about them for 25mins but, they're juste lights...

  • @LouisTwonks And a knife is just a knife and a gun is just a gun... jeez, just when I was starting to believe I might like having some diversity. You don't like having the information... go to Wal-mart.

  • *giggle* -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • WBallaz - I always yawn when I'm interested. -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • I have a very nice innova I got for 20 dollars but it uses lithium batteries but they last forever and are insanely bright

  • surfire until I d-i-e. I only use lights with lithium batteries.

  • There are lithium AA and AAA batteries. Awesome yet expensive stuff.

  • Don't worry Veri, I'm Buddhist and it's called Christmas. Another good video.

  • I don't mind at all what anybody calls it, but I call it Christmas ;) -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • if i give my family ny more flsh lights they will go md! lol-get everyone them every yer! lol-i might duracoat one or two now;) manx,uk

  • WE do! No offense, but this is the wrong place to get politically correct. And just so its understood..we'll celebrate any "holiday" celebration with you and wish you a good one, but WE celebrate Christmas! -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • MERRY CHRISTMAS faggot

  • Merry Christmas guys. Replacing the phrase "Christmas" with "holiday" is plain idiocy, not PC.

Does anyone know WHY we have 'Holiday Season' in late December? :)

  • I use to think about that also but theres more holidays than just christmas. not everyone celebrates christmas so they say happy holidays

  • That doesn't sound like something I would do...lol -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • Bryly, you are correct. But the fact that Christianity is the world's most dominant religion DOES set up "Christmas" as a kinda global standard for this particular holiday - you know, just the term "Xmas" disjointed of religious connotations. The same way English language has become a global standard in communication. Whaddya think bros? Like the reasoning?

  • In the effort to be mutually inclusive, society just ends up being mutually exclusive.

  • A standard 9 volt battery contains 6 AAAA cells in it. You can carefully remove the outer casing and bend the tabs to shape and even use them as temp replacements for AAA cells.

    /watch?v=tr5ZB1eFhwc

Thanks to KipKay for this 9 volt battery hack.

  • We also got a video response to this from Skippy840, if anyone wants to see it demonstrated. Thanks guys! -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • OMG, I'm sorry I meant to say "smoothy840"..sorry smoothy! -- Veri

  • I will wait for something with a "AA" battery. The "AAA" is all case and no power, and the concept of the "AAAA" battery has all the engineers herem in spasms of laughter. Excellent review; always fair, if a bit effusive. You could have at least bent the lights to show where they broke. Something like this in the pocket is inviting disaster. Size and weight are rarely actual selection factors.

  • hey mr nutnfancy and all my fellow tnp'ers. Help! im in scotland and trying to get my hands on anything you review would involve robbing a bank! example. your streamlight stylus pro 20 dollars over here try 28 pounds/45dollars . any ideas? anyone? thanks guys.

  • Mostlikly not many places selling it and those that do can take a higher price.

    Supply and demand I reckon.

  • "Boba Fett wear," that's hilarious.

  • I had to wiki Boba Fett! LOL -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • Thanks for the review, ordered one for my dad for christmas (and one for myself of course) ;)

  • The light is great, i use it now for hunting, beat out my surefire with just the cost of using it

  • hey nutn when u gonna post high skies pt 4?

  • Unfortunately, it might take some time. Some deliquents deliberately down-rated HighSkies videos and Nutn, being ticked off about the whole snafu, is not quite in the mood for posting. Please do not forget to RATE THE VIDS - this will give them much more resistance to vandalism.

  • jake thanks so much! You're dead on. -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • ohhh man..!!! I hate that.

I can't remember when I last got something given to me that was high quality and I didn't have to sign up for it.

And here we have a guy doin' it and these little shits screw it up for us...DAMN Now I'm pissed I've been looking forward to the next episode for weeks...

  • You guys always rock! And make SURE to announce Baby paulandsummer on TNP channel page when it happens, I'm excited!

Don't worry..he was just telling me some awesome vids he has coming up. You won't have time to think about Hi Skies p4. ;) -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • omg,i can't freakin wait...this is way better than waiting for an awesome movie 2 come out...i sure as hell am looking forward to High Skies part 4 heheheheh

  • yeah! a new quality nutnfancy video!

    yeah! Christmas is coming!

  • New Fenix pen light is out

    General: 32 lumens (5hrs)

    Low: 4 lumens (23 hrs)

    High: 100 lumens (1.5 hrs)

exact same layout, being 2 AAA, stainless pushbutton on the back, non removable pocket clip that looks quite decent

    AND its ipx-8

  • @StrykingHawk i gotta agree , this guys awsome with how thorough u are, hes part of the navy its obvious because the way he talks bout its uses and why he hates the plastic one , anyway, he is thorough and direct it is short for just how much info he packed

  • it is not just a pen light. in fact it is too bright too check somebodies pupils. I have used this for months without the battery dying and I carry it off duty too.

  • i am a paramedic in a major socal city. I work in the most gang laden area and this flashlight is the best. I carry a knife a this light and a pen. It is bright enough for arriving at dark apartment complexes and so on. I have used it for looking into deep gashes when the lights in the ambulance arent bright enough. this thing is a super bright full blown flashlight.
