Gil Scott Heron and the Midnight Band was the first artist I saw in concert. I was 13 and visiting relatives in Oakland in 1975. They were the opening act before Earth Wind and Fire. I fell in love with them and bought every album they made and played them until 2005 when I lost them all in Hurricane K. I was able to recover almost every album I owned but not Gil Scott's. All of his albums were sitting on top of the turntable and the wall unit crushed. Thanks to whoever put this on utube.

interesting version of the classic , sounds live but with club elements added its not quite as danceable as it could be more tropical or jungle, but the beat is missing for too long.  I could see an african dance troup using this.
