@endrikat7 there is more to it than swapping parts. the shimming will determine how well the gearbox holds up to the abuse of an 11.1v. The trigger contacts will also eventually burn out. I currently use 7.4v lipos in all my guns with exception to one. The one that uses the 11.1v has been built specifically to handle an 11.1v. It will work on 11.1v, but not forever.

@Meboyboyboy Still got it. Rebuilt it.. And there are a few vids on my page covering this build. I switched to JG standard ratio gears, did AOE, and changed to a Bravo (Red/Extreme) Piston. Oh, and i rewired it. I really did not do anything really special.

@Slider993 The Aimpoint is Great. I find that I use my Optics as much as I should. So I dont usually have much trouble with any of them.. The Impoint has been the easiest to use since the mount is a hi rise type mount. The G&P aimpoint is in fact one of the best I have owned. The others are good, but this one is GREAT!.. Hasnt failed me yet.

@mentalmetal1 I paid $450 for it. It was appearantly a limited run item and i can't find a new one anywhere. I had 2 of them. Sold one sand regret it everyday.

I had a G&P FN m16a4 RAS. The axles on the sector and spur gear broke after ~40k rds. It had an 8mm gearbox, but I guess it was a lemon. But I have read on forums like AirsoftMechanics that other people had their g&p gears failing.
@Duy556 Thank you for the input.. 40K isnt that bad of a number for a stock setup shooting as fast as these guns do. That is about 6 months of use foer me.. Not too bad, but if it can be avoided, I would gladly try to. Thanks for the heads up.
There are differences in internals between G&p guns. Some older models come with 7mm bearings, newer models come with 8mm. Most problems are with the 7mm bearing failure. Although 8mm can break too they are much more reliable. I have a sentry at the moment and till now the 8mm box still working fine my problem was the hopup and the barrel. The barrel had a wavy surface inside and the hopup was inconsistent. Had to change the barrel and rubber. I did not touch the gb till now...

AFAIK (I have a g&p sentry) the 9,6v mini type nunchuk fits in the stock but owner has to disassemble the stock for putting the battery in and charge it inside afterwards. I recommend to use a buffer tube type lipo instead, this allows you to change batteries during skirmish.
@stefanits1234 Would you say these guns ca handle an 11.1v Lipo right out of the box? I have a 7.4v, and plan to use it for now, but the 11.1v fits perfectly in the buffer tube. I want to switch to Lipo's exclusively soon.
@SHWELL11 The M120 is a high speed motor and on my gun it spins too fast for my taste (it has a rof of 1100 rpm on a 7,4v 1200 mAh lipo). Not to mention the fast spinning in the gb may lead to a stripped piston (I can change the piston too, but hey why to make work to myself ? :) ).
@stefanits1234 You have hit it right on the head.. This thing is fast, and will go through parts if you are not smart about it. I have a vid uploading right now, it shows the different speeds from different votages. Check it out when you can..
Anyway as far as I can see the difference difference between mine and this is the front sight the RIS (mine has a folding front sight integrated in the rail system), the lower receiver (mine is a magpul lower), and mine came without the aimpoint and has a different foregrip. As long as it runs fine I do not plan to touch the gearbox, and according to local g&p fans it should last long with the 8mm GB and 7,4v lipo or the 9,6v mini. Time will tell...
Saw the Viper title and thought GBBR =O then heard Aeg :| but again great review schwell. I've said it on another video of yours but you should check out CrazyNcmans new video as he talks very positively about you.
