The trick to stopping Roenick was using the Detroit Red Wings, specifically Bob Probert. I would use The Wings and my boy would use the Hawks and I would purposely go after Roenick with Probie because they both couldn't resist dropping the gloves. More often than not Probert would bloody Roenick's head and knock him out of the game. I scored 56 goals in a game once. We played East vs West all stars one time...Roenick scored 31 goals against me, in one game.

why was he god like in this game? he was banned in our house, you couldnt be the blackhawks. Game still rocked, hitting the reset button with little time left in the 3rd always lead to a good fight against your opponent, just like the real thing.

Bruins were nasty...Oates centering Neely and either Juneau, Janney, or Smolinski - then you had Bourque on D and Andy Moog in goal.

Best line in the game was still Vancouver - Ronning centers Bure and Linden or Courtnall.

My buddy and I used to play this game all the time when we were kids. I was always the Blackhawks, and he was always the Bruins. I think out of the hundereds of games we played, I might have lost three or four times. Not because I was that good at the game. Jeremy Roenick simply could not be stoppped in this game. I could be down by three goals with a minute to go and I'd win. What a classic game. Thanks for posting

All those goals were by using the flaws in the horrible goaltending... Shot of wing to far side, deke left to right.. SO CHEAP!!! Why was J.R rated so great in this game?? Mario, Gretzky, Yzerman, Jagr etc were rocking in those days

jeremy roenick and chicago black hawks were off limits in this game. my friends and i could not pick that team. if you did, then somebody would get the all star team east or west. chicago was that good. and if you pressed c off the start you could knock anybody down off the line. every time.
