  • If you ever have the chance to see the actual thing, DO IT. I went once and it was really a great performance, though it didn't really fit the Shakespeare version. I mean, what's with the lemon at the end?

  • soo beautifulll!!!

  • Все гениально в этом балете! Это образец того, что такое на самом деле современное искусство. А не те дорогие моргинальные глупости, которые выставляются в арт-центрах

  • oh god i can't belive this :O ....amazing....

  • I had the opportunity to see the Radio & Juliet performance tonight and, being my first ballet, I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it. Frankly, I despise dance shows. But I was very impressed. It was certainly not the graceful movements that I have seen on screen, but more fast paced. The men's routines were especially interesting as they incorporated dance and ballet with martial arts disciplines. I even recognized some drunken boxing. But the Radiohead soundtrack initially sold my ticket.

  • Amazing performance. It's bliss!

  • Anyone knows who is the Choreographer?

  • @tatahaputy Edward Clug

  • @QUATROxBALLET thank you (:

  • Nossa! Que perfeito hein! estou boba aqui com tanta beleza! Nunca vi isso no Brasil, realmente é um alto grau tecnico! Mas a sua beleza se encontra toda nos bailarinos! Lindooo ^^

  • Ai que lindooo!

  • I can't stop watching this, thank you :)

  • I want to be her. She is my idol. <3

  • Все великолепно!!

  • hold me closer tiny dancer.

  • WOW...what can i say, it's a brilliant piece.

  • Two people have no soul in their hearts

  • Two people have no soul

  • hey youtube... i found a big problem .. here is dislike button !

  • @13Infact :-))))

  • radiohead sex, breathing, smoke and u feel that u are the angel in the f... world

  • This is just so compelling. I love their wonderful synergy.

  • i just come back to see this performance in Barcelona; wonderful, love the music too

  • I wish we could see this ballet in France!! it's so wonderful, so perfectly performed. There are so many details in the movements, and this is so light that we've got the impression they barely touch the ground. I can't stop watching the video and each time I'm moved in tears. As an amateur dancer, I wish I could do that (but it's only a dream!). Any idea where I can find a video of the whole ballet? Cause I don't think I'll have the chance to see it live unfortunately.

  • @andaro45 I am sure you can find on youtube a big pieces from this ballet Radio and Juliet, but with another performers as Anastasia and Denis performed only this short piece.

  • @Hromoi I looked for it and I didn't find anything, just extracts (and essentially this pas de deux). So that's why I was asking if there's a full video for it. I even looked on Maribor Theater's web site, but nothing :( I imagine I'll have to content myself with this. Even if I admit this duet is self-sufficient in itself, I need more ;)

I watched the duet with other performers and I have to say the one I prefer is this one, definitely.

  • @andaro45 What can I say? :-) I know that Maribor Company is often touring at Europe. Probably you'll have a chance to see it live if they will perform exactly R&J. This Summer Anastasia and Denis with Leonid Sarafanov and Olesya Novikova will present the new ballet of the same choreographer Edward Clug "Quatro" in Moscow for Golden Mask Festival as they've been nominated. You can find the trailer and the piece from Quatro on youtube

  • @andaro45 There will be an evening of Denis Matvienko at Mariinsky on June 19th. And the 3rd Act will be the whole version of Radio&Juliet with Denis, Anastasia and Maribor company. This is your chance :-)

  • @QUATROxBALLET Thanks for the info, but it's a bit far away from France! Even if I love this ballet, I'm not ready to go that far to see it ;) And right now, I'm in Vancouver so even futher... Another time I hope!

  • @andaro45

i've seen it live! this is all...and sorry for you but they also performed in paris and cannes:

and i love this piece! cant stop watching it!

  • AMAZING!

  • Amazing, beautiful, this choreography reminds me the ones of LALALA human steps company they do have a couple similarities;but don't get me wrong this is a wonderful art work LALALA too I love both.

  • No comments, just emotions . Very good coordination. Good job!!! )))

  • beautiful. what an amazing body she has. and the music is gorgeous.

  • I saw them perform this in Indianapolis--breathtaking!

  • her arches are so high. at first, i thought she was on pointe

  • I've watched this video a thousand times and every time I see it I feel I want to cry. It is so beautiful.

  • Female dancers have what i call the leanest, meanest body-shapes around. Ethereal beauty is what i describe it.

  • I am so tired of people commenting that ballet dancers are thin on these videos- they are elite athletes that dance sometimes 8-10 hours a day/six days a week from the thime they are small children. Unlike many other athletes, there is an actual aesthetic involved- and thin, long and lean looks best. They are not unhealthy- there is no way they could not eat/take care of themselves and perform at this level. The Matevenkos are world-class- this piece is fabulous.

  • Thank you very much for your comment!!!

  • @milli810 I agree entirely. Not one comment on the choreography, (which I liked - they need more contemporary training). These are athletes: when I was at the height of my more humble career than these 2, I was 4% body fat at 145lb.s at 5'10 (male). Normal for an artist athlete. Yes, there's problem w/ eating disorders, But give it a rest - its nowhere near deserving of the commentary on it that most vids of truly great dancers get. Hmm, I wonder what's the BMI of some of these posters?!?

  • Thank-you for setting the record straight!!!

  • @milli810 seriously...and do they not notice all the muscle on them?

  • @milli810 You just said it, we do work 8-10 hour days, sometimes even 7 days a week, but mostly 6, I hate it too when people say this about us dancers, for most part it's the ladys that say stuff like this, but wow they really have no idea about dance, but they seem interested otherwise they would not be looking, But should keep their ignorance to themselves..

  • @milli810 Well said!

  • I saw Denis yestarday in Don Quixot!! The show was amazing and Denis as Bazil was just fantastic!!! 2 hours flew like 5 minutes!! He's a pure talent <3

  • It's the ballet thing. They must be really thin almost weightless so that we could believe that sometimes people can fly. :)

  • does anyone know where i can see the full version :)

im dying to see the whole thing but all i find are small parts

    Help????

  • A

    M

    A

    Z

  • I WATCHED THIS LIVE!!!

    they were SO amazinggg

  • this made me cry!

  • And this is wonderful that it did! :-)

    They worked hard for it

  • name of the song please?

  • Like spinning plates, from Radiohead

  • what version?

cause this isn't the original version and I'm dying to find this one :D

  • is from Earls Court,11.27.2003

    that show was sooo awesome!

  • The live version. :D I think the album is I Might Be Wrong, but it's a whole bunch of live recordings.

  • это настоящее искусство!

  • matvienko are the best. just watch denis and anastasia's moves! great!

  • I really love this choreography!!!!!!!! Anybody can tell who´s the choreographer, please??????

  • The choreographer is Edward Clug. I have seen the ballet (Radio&Juliet) yesterday in Padova (Italy). It's absolutely wonderful!!!!!

  • wow, she looks fantastic! I find her a little bit better in this style than Denis, I don't know why. I find her sharper, clearer... he's good anyway, and this choreography is really BEAUTIFULL! great post! :)

  • Hmm, maybe his clothes make the movement look not so sharp and precise... But, anyway - they both are Great! :)

Would like to see something similar in real.. ;]]

  • Saw them live. If you think this is magic then imagine the live thing with that music coming from all over the place... :)

  • WOOOOW amazing....They are Great!!!

  • this is AMAZING!!!!!!

    fuckkkkkkk

  • thank you!

    :)

  • what song is this?

  • To amazing for words

  • i totally agree!! whoever told me to watch this video has gr8 tastle!! :p

its amazing!!! i love it and im inspired even more now!!

  • My ONLY problem with this is that They used the Live track of this song, and the people screaming in the beginning of the song is annoying. Too bad the studio version of this song doesn't work for the ballet. Other than that, it's amazing! I love the mativenko's! They are amazing dancers! I hope they do a guest visit at an American company!! That would be awesome!

  • That's hardly a problem.

  • Yes, I personally don't like the screaming, either. I mean, I know the song is good, but still. XDDD

  • I love how her feet are so good that she looks like she's on pointe when she releves even though she isn't.

  • I saw this show last night with my girlfriend and sister and it was by far one of the best ballets that I have ever seen. Completely original and this dance in particular made me cry almost to the point of embarrassment. My only complaint...I wanted it to last forever. Fabulous show and I wish that they would come back to Pittsburgh and do it all again!

  • Просто Царь!Всех наказали!!!

  • The choreography is repetitive, but adds a hypnotic quality to it. The emotion is very clear, and the movements are very sharp. Absolutely lovely.

  • This video makes me cry ! They are wonderful !
