@godzillaisnuclea123 Are you using the controls for air to assassinate? If so then Majd Addin must be blocking your attack. Try doing it when his back is turned.
If you're just doing a jump, then that's the problem. You need to initiate the assassination while still on the beam (not after jumping onstage). Click the link to the walkthrough for more information.

There are many ways to assassinate Majd Addin without the Scholars, with or without becoming Exposed.

@DChil99 PS3 makes no difference. My partner on The Hidden Blade (IanXO4) plays on PS3 and does everything I can do.
Practice air to assassinate on regulars guards (say, in Masyaf) before attempting it on a main target. That's how I developed my chops and learned enough to document the controls in my Air to Assassinate Guide. Be sure to read that document if you haven't already done so.

I managed to get to them once and perform a swift assassination, but I cannot for the life of me remember how I did it.

You can get Blade in the Crowd on any of the nine assassinations. There are two targets (Talal and one other) who know you're coming so you can't be Anonymous on those two. The other 7 you can stealth.
However, the achievement is for assassinating with the Hidden Blade in low profile (not for being Anonymous). You can do that on Talal with the help of Vigilantes, for example.
ye i just got it on the guy on the boat. i jumped on all the boats and pillars and then he saaw me and i high profile assassinated his ass. it looked badass. then i just killed 2 guards with throwing knives and that was it.
well he saw me as i was climbing up so i jumped off the ledge and got him. i'm just glad i got it really. now i am trying to get the flags and the templars
i figured out something.when majd addin kills the other assassin he's actually not dead because when u use da eagle vision on him its still blue and whenever u kill someone their colour always fades away.point really i don't think he's dead
Interesting find! It could be considered an easter egg. Do the harlot, gambler and thief all fade away under eagle vision? It's hard to believe anyone could survive being carved up the way the heretic is. LOL
First time playing I just lounged up onto the podium and fought to his death. While having to learn your way into assassinations like this one is a good concept, I wish doing something other than just running up and swordfighting everything was encouraged by the game :). When you get the hang of it though, it's one of the most enjoyable moments you get in gaming today.
I like your videos, you've mastered these assassinations really well.
After the assassin/heretic is executed, your sync bar (i.e. health) starts counting down. If you have a full 20 bars, I think it takes about 40 seconds to become depleted and then you die. However, if you assassinate Majd Addin during this time, the mission is still a success. There's no penalty for not saving the assassin.
ahhh i loved that moment, to bad the other 2 died, the way i did it before, was using the scholars 2 walk up 2 the platform then as soon as he was goin to assassinate the woman, i jumped and assassinated him lol.... i usually dont like jump assassinations, but that made it seem pretty cool
Now, some people are saying, "This mission isn't a success unless you save all of the prisoners." and to those people I say "bite me". Remember how many prisoners Altaïr saves in the trailer? Zero, that's how many. Three bodies swinging from ropes.
In terms of social stealth, understand that there are only three levels foot travel:
1. Blending
2. Walking/Running
3. Sprinting
Running is as socially acceptable as Walking. Just don't bump into guards.
The Informed guards didn't attack because I remained outside of their proximity radius - same as if I were Walking. Some (but not all) Informed guards will attack if they see you Sprinting.
Yes, you can save all of the prisoners from execution. See the YouTube video by adeshvmoon (video ID vX_WRSKo8Es) or the official Ubisoft video for a stylish air to assassinate from the right.

1. You don't have the Hidden Blade equipped (D-pad up)
2. Majd Addin is not Target Locked (Left Trigger)
3. You aren't in High Profile (hold Right Trigger)
4. Majd Addin is too far away. Wait until he moves stage right.

Yes. On 7 of the main assassinations, it's possible to exit the Memory Corridor still Anonymous - no scene. See videos by ogkdr and ianxofour.

No. There's one main target who knows you're coming and sets up an ambush. The "boss fights" toward the end of the game are also like that.

You can't skip the dialogue after each assassination. I just edited out the Memory Corridor scenes in post-production of these videos.
