  • OMG ur hair shrinkssss. Its like magic when u pull it and it just "grows"/

  • Your hair is long and beautiful omg!!!!

  • when you trim, does it twist easily?

  • Can you trim your hair dry or can you wet it with a water bottle then trim?

  • Your hair is beautiful!

  • @Proverbs31intraining same problem. I have just been trimming, doing deep conditioning and oil treatments. I am planning to leave it in mini twists for two to four weeks at a time. I think eventually it will catch up if I am consistent with my regimen.

  • Hot dayum! your hair is gorgeous!!!!

  • i swear skrinkage.

  • so when cutting look for nots??

  • @Lovelyladyfinesse i dont knw what she said but i hav hair like hers and thats what i have to look for the amount of knots let you knw when u need a trim and how much to trim at least for this hair type.

  • absolutely love your hair

  • i want to keep track of everything i use it in a hair diary. who knows i might come up with a really cool hair growth serum and share

  • i'm new, how long been growing your natural hair? it's beautiful!

  • Hi RusticBeauty, I have a question for you, I just did my big chop last friday and once I washed it again to style it, I noticed the hair on the left side of my head is straight, is that weird or what?

  • @NewbyNatural lol idk if you found your answer yet but it's not weird. the sides of my hair are really kinky, the back is curly, and the top is VERY loose waves and straight hair. annoying isn't it?

  • you know, u like the equally beautiful sister to tupac, i kid u not! i said so in another video, but you are truly inspirational!

  • omg so jealous rite now lol yo hair is so long!! if u was to straightn it out omg i hate u =) wat do you use to get it to grow like that... my hair not short but it's not that long n its uneven from where it broke off from wearin a pony tail everyday. so i wanna get it to grow bak..any suggestions?

  • pretty hair

  • wow your hair is gorgeous and longg keep it up

  • I love the way you do your trims, I don't believe you need to straighten first either. Just smooth it good... LOL

  • what products did you use on your hair and what styles did you where?., i know that you have been natural for almost 6years,.

  • @mizzcarmel26 the harsh sulfates do that

  • wow black women are truly special no one has what we have. lets try not to mask it

  • Rustic Beauty my granny used to have hair like yours. I've been with my natural hair for the almost four year and my hair is nowhere near that. You hair is truly beautiful. I'm trailing along, but not giving up.

  • wow your hair is REALLY long! wow. Its funny how it looks short when you don't grab it and then when you stretched it out it was like wow! (Don't mind me) but this is the first video I have seen were a person gone natural trims their hair because I thought you have to straighten it before you trim it. Thanks for the info. You obviously know what your talking about because your hair is long.

  • i heard someone say before that if you're not damaging your hair (using heat, dying, etc), you don't need to trim your ends that often--or at all even. the only reason we trim our ends is to trim off the damaged hair. but if youre not damaging it, your hair should be healthy all the way through, and you shouldnt need to trim it.

  • @xxmuzicchickxx I agree. The reason alot of natural womens hair remains short is b/c they cut it 2much. I know a women who kept her hair condition and didn't have to trim it for 11 years! Her hair is down to butt and it's curly and beautiful. Ouidad ( owner of Ouidad products) also says you don't have to trim curly hair often and to cut it at the "c" of the curl instead straight across. Otherwise you will have a mop head look and your curls will not hang. Can't cut curly hair like straight hair.

  • Do you have a problem with knots on the end of your hair since you trim every 3 months or does the trimming prevent the knots?

  • When you comb your hair, Doesnt a lot of hair come out? Mine does, I have no idea how to prevent this ! I have had naural hair all my life.

  • @pigcat17 i used to have the same problem. check out kimmaytube's channel. she offers tutorials on how to pre-poo, shampoo, condition, and detangle. this might help with your breakage.

  • How often do you trim

  • Sorry if this is asked and answered but...how often do you trim your hair?

  • thank you for this tutorial short and to the point whilst being informative.

  • your hair IS GORGEOUS!!! and it looks sooooo SOFT!!! Not to sound like i hate my natural hair but it doesn't look like that & i kinda wish it did or if it were curly. It's just somethin about being able to hop out the shower, letting it air dry & curl up that sounds so easy to me lol but i could be wrong

  • your hair is so beautiful! i want hair like that so bad! I'm trying to go natural too...wish me luck! =]

  • OMG your hair is so pretty! Look at how thick and long it is!

  • Wow your hair is like a sponge. Awesome

  • Water is the best thing for natural hair. In the summer months I noticed that I did more wash and go styles and my hair grew more. When its colder I just spray a little water, remoisturize and then style it again.

  • @mizzcarmel26 its not the water that dries the hair. its the sulfates in the shampoos that dry the hair out. in order to get moisture into the hair you need water. thats what moisture is. water

  • Not for natural hair. Water is the world's best moisturizer, so it will never dry ur hair out. I wet my hair everyday if the weather permits.

  • Nice video. Do I hear a clock ticking in the background? LOL

  • you're hair is fabulous!

  • @wugambina I agree.! It's so pretty and curly.!!

  • despite what you said, this looks pretty accurate to me. ive been kind of obsessing over how to let my hair be trimmed because im afraid to do it myself or get too much removed. we have the exact same type of hair and i was curious how long you had been natural at this point?

  • Your hair type is the same as mine. I feel so inspired ^_^

  • same here she makes black hair seem so beautiful

  • Black hair is beautiful. Ppl jst don't know how to treat it.

  • im going to start looking at your vids, we have the same hair type.. yours just super long

  • i'm natural but if i put a texturizer on my hair will it still be natural or relaxed?

  • I think it will be relaxed. I use to use texturizers but its still a very harsh chemical used to loosen the curl.

  • a texturizer is the same as a relaxer the only difference is that the relaxer straightens your hair bone straight so if u do out it in your hair your hair will no longer be all natural at all.

  • @msthang020 a texturizer is a chemical therefore your hair is chemical treated and no longer natural

  • @msthang020 it will definitely be considered chemically processed. it will not be natural.

  • I have a question, Can I flat iron natural hair?

  • @MsAeryona yes but blow dry it first

  • yhhhh

  • @MsAeryona sure. just look at different tutorials and tips to make sure you do it correctly. Also, invest in quality products and hair styling tools to lessen the damage.

  • i think we have almot the same length of hair, it stretches out well too.

  • i do mines the same way although the back is hard cause lol u can';t see it!

  • hey i got my hair relaxed since but never got a trim so by january imma start my first trim but i need help

  • How long did it take to achieve this length?

  • @cralanjosmom its all on her Profile

  • I have a question, my hair has been

natural since birth and i have never

trimmed my hair but i've read many

articles and watched some videos and

i've realized that it is important for your

growth pattern. How often should you trim

you hair and how much hair should you

    trim off?

  • @mizzmeliz Half an inch should be trimmed off!

  • Your hair is absolutely stunning! Thanks for the trim tutorial. I do have one question, what grade is your hair? I think I have the same grade as you, but I'm not sure.

  • i love you hair, i just started my natural journey and to tell you the truth i am terrified, i still wear weaves, i guess i will have to get comfortable transitioning from weaves to appreciating my own hair.

  • the first year is always the hardest. I thought about going back to relaxers a few times during that time. I've been natural for 3 years now and i love it so much..it gets more manageable with time. With in a year you should be more comfortable. It gets better with time. smiles

  • how often do you detangle and trim?

  • (joyariffic) I detangle every time I wash my hair, so every 1-2 weeks. Trimming my hair every 2-3 months.

  • i have been wearing braids for a while so do you think that i should trim when i take the braids down? or no since my hair is in braids?

  • Your hair is sooooooooo healthy!!!

  • Black ladies look too good natural or straightened or even bald. Wish I could marry them all.

  • @tdt1000 you are too sweet

  • @tdt1000 Your comment made me smile.I know you made it awhile ago, but I'm just coming across it.I haven't heard a man say that in awhile. Mine included.

  • @tdt1000 Your comment made my day!

  • idiot. wrong place to say that.

  • Thanks, I was very concerned about scissor angle. 3 months since my BC, my hair has grown quickly and I'm loving the thickness so first week of October{following the Anthony Morocco Moon Phases same as when I, BD'ed} I'm giving myself a trim. I'm going to do it with single twists dry hair. I think this method will be most comfortable the first time I trim my natural hair.

  • LOL, not BD'ed..BC'ed!!}

  • WAhhhhhhhhhhhhh my hair grows slow D:

  • your hair is gorgeous!

how often do you trim? only when you two-strand?

  • What hair type do you have???

  • i dont know why someone did a thumbs down to your comment ,its just a question.LOL nothing wrong about knowing someones hair type

  • lolz i dnt evn worry about stuff like that, i kno i didnt mean to hurt anybody so anybody that gives me a thumbs down is just ignorant lolz

  • Beautiful hair but what if you're hair isn't even? How could you trim it then?

  • Wow you have have beautiful ...what hair products do you use to get your hair to grow?

  • love the hair!!!

  • cool.. seems effective

  • your hair are really inspiring really nice

  • I don't usually respond to such obvious & desperate cries for attention, however...I felt compelled to point out your apparent self-hate. You're either a caucky guy who got rejected by a Beautiful Black Girl, or a caucky female who had her boyfriend stolen by a Beautiful Black Girl.

Either way, keep your distance from Black Folks vids & you won't be continually traumatized. Do the world a favor, learn to Love yourself.

    ~Peace & Blessings

  • gorgeous gorgeous hair!

  • Im planning on getting the shear butter combination that u use. Do u get those products online? b/c i can seem to find those ingredients...

  • Comment removed

  • Hi, I did my BC in Jan 09 and and my hair is growing pretty good- i think. It's about three inches or so and I'd like to know your opinion on when I should trim my hair? THX!

  • You have ridiculously gorgeous hair. My hair is about that long but it is in terrible condition. My scalp is so dry it hurts badly. I still haven't figured out what to do about that. I'm going to check out the rest of your videos and see what's there. Because I want my hair to look as beautiful as yours!

  • I€ don't know what to put on your scalp, but if you mix aloe vera gel (for hold and moisture) and a little glycerin (for moisture)- TRUST ME, you hair will feel soft in no time. I got the tip from Cynthiarf here on youtube and it WORKS! I'm transitioning and my hair tends to be very dry and brittle, but not anymore!

  • OMG Rustic beauty, ur hair is absolutely beautiful, just seeing your hair truely inspires me.

  • I started cracking up when you pulled out that big ole comb. You have beautiful hair though.

  • where did you get your cutting shears from? i got a pair from of conair ones from cvs and haven't yet taken it out of its package (was thinking of possibly doing a trim this weekend). does it really matter what type or brand of shears you get as far as the quality of the trim goes? Or should simples one from CVS be sufficient?

    Thanks in advance

  • (candyjones) I think yours are sufficent I got mine from walmart, however in the future I would like to invest in some stainless steel ones that you can get at sallys.

  • your hair looks so soft and healthy. how long did it take you to grow it that length?

  • (sweethoney2219) I have been natural for almost 6 years

  • My hair shears look just like yours. That gives me peace of mind that mine don't suck.

  • i wanna know like how long ur hair would be if it was straightened or somethig to see the actual length of it, cause fom the looks of it when you were detangling it. it looks really long ! so please do a video about that pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaasssssse

    thanks

    ~|~maniboo996~|~

  • You know what I love about her natural hair and many other natural haired women? That elasticity that it has! When you pul your hair down, it pops right back! I think that's so cool! :D

  • i know its probably in another video and im probably late but how long have u been natural

  • (shyswagg) Almost 6 years

  • i love ur hair, you sholud try some gel on it,and do the same procedure.

  • Oh my goodness your hair is so long and beautiful!

  • Omg, shut the hell up.

  • should I cut all of the knots from the end because I have LOTS of them and I am not about what I should and should not cut??????

  • your hair is so beautiful,i love it

  • Why do you think your hair has so much elasticity?

  • (liantonia) I did readings on hair elasticity...and everybody hair is suppose to stretch a bit when it is wet....I guess I take decent care of it.

  • How long does that take? I'm looking for ways to trim my own hair. Thanks for showing this..

  • wow, your hair is so long and thick! I looove it! question , ever flat ironed?

  • (amanda) Yeah, I have a video of my hair flat ironed.

  • your hair is pretty long when stretched out.

  • i confess that from the days of my perming i get all this anxiety about cutting my hair..... so i've been natural for a length of time im not going to admit to right now.... and i've only trimmed my ends when i was getting rid of those last lil permed bits.... needless to say i have a few split ends right now and have convinced myself it is time ..... but not sure if i should go to the ever so noted domican hair salon or if i should try it myself....... sigh

  • wow you wouldn't think your hair was that long.. thats cute..

  • how can u tell the difference between hair shears and regular scissors?

  • (BeatUmDown) You should purchase them from the hair section of a store or at Sallys

  • Your hair is always so gorgeous!

I must confess, I have nappy envy!

I've been natural since 2006, but I keep it cut short. Your hair makes me want my own long!

Loving the vids! Thank you so much!

  • Beautiful hair and thanks for the trimming tip.

Where did you buy that brown comb with the crossed teeth? Me want one :)

  • (GigglesnGaggie) I got it a walmart...Goodys : Super Detangling comb

  • Thank You so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you are sooooo cute!! I love watching your vids...very helpful!

  • she does look like tizzy!

  • your videos are great but people she takeS alot of and patience to maintain her hair and health of the hair bug upps to you RB you are the bomb!!

  • Great video!

  • It's funny, I remember when I had to use a mirror to see the hair as I trimmed and it took foreeeeever. Now that I can pull some parts of my hair down ( when you did it reminded me) and see it with my eyes as I trim, it is much easier.

  • I had no idea how long your hair was until the 41 second mark! The shrinkage monster is no joke!

    As always, thanks for sharing!

  • I know you hear this a lot but your hair is amazing!

  • How long did it take you to get your hair at that lenght?

  • (xaasda) I have been natural for almost 6 years...

  • Excellent video! Like always :))

  • Great video, as usually. Four hours is right! I got a bit impatient with my last trim and TOTALLY over did it. Set myself back back close to 4-5 months growth. Didn't realize how much was gone until I did my usual protective cornrows.

  • this video is helpful tnx....and......

omg everytime i come on your videos im like she looks familiar.......you look just like the antiguan soca artist tizzy, if you youtube her you would see the similarities

  • black hair is so weird and awesome to an untrained eye yoour hair looks short but when stretched but when stretched it's probably elbow length... it's like your hair is like GOTCHA BITCH!!

  • u know you stole that phrase from SWP! lol

  • we both stole it from one of the funniest black comedians Dave SHApElle.

  • i have a spot on the back of my head where my hair doesent grow past an inch and a half. and its the same spot all the time and i dont know what to do can you help me?

i usually love being natural but sometimes its hard, when my hair doesent grow as long as i think it should be by now...

  • You have really amazing hair that is long and beautiful all by having it natural and not ruining it chemicals or weave! I really think you should release a dvd or something to send to all black women! lol I have been natural most of my life but with mostly extention braids and relaxed once. I am really loving looking after my hair on its own now! And I love you videos! Can you tell me ways to get my hair to grow past my shoulders please? It always stops there :( Thank U! XOXOX

  • This is how I trim my ends as well.

  • Your shrinkage is amazing! Gets me every time!

  • how did u grow ur hair so long u rock

request...could u make a video on twists tutorial love ya bye

  • I think she has some up already.

  • thanx

  • (peacemaker13490)Every 1-3 months, whenever I think my ends are looking bad

  • That's a pretty good technique.

  • Do u cornrow ur hair sometimes?

I.d like to watch u doing it if yes! Love ur hair!!!
