He was also very big and did most of his scoring in front of the net ... he did not score many goals ... most of his points were assists if anything else .. he sure racked up a lof of penalty minutes though! One of those seasons he had 62 points more than most goons have in a whole career. try stickhandling with a hand that had to be surgically repaired often. And no he didn't score from just being in front he crashed the net with the puck. 384 points (162 goals 221 assists)in 935 games regular season. 48 points (16 of them goals) in 81 playoff games. You sir know nothing about Bob Probert. My guess is you are a fan of Crosby.

@fliberdjibit In the "good old days" teams had enforcers, like Probert, whose primary responsibility was to protect the elite players, like Yzerman. They'd often play on the same line (which was why Probert was able to put up decent numbers). Thus, when the other team's enforcer when after Yzerman, Probert had to step in (to deter other players from getting the same idea). With rule changes, however, the enforcer became more of a liability, and the elite players had to take care of themselves
