i believe, and it is my own belief... that if everyone, including government, spent more valuable time trying to find ways to get along and reasonably compromise, rather then spending endless amounts of money, to "murder" people, making weapons, and focus on salvaging what time we have left in this world... poverty would not be so high, government control would not be so "out of control" and when people spoke, it would really matter... and others would listen.
@xayatayax no it is human nature to not get along and to fight and to disagree and to do what you will like. like it or not there is not way in hell you can have peace in this world there is no way possible. there will always be someone who gets greedy. i mean in order for that to work you would help everyone you see when was the last time you helped a bum out some how?
instead of trying to overtalk everyone else, over power another, and over spend, with money no one really has. yes, murder for the money, whichever way you believe it, is about no job security, never being on top, always being outdone by someone more educated then yourself. and trying to be somebody and feeling like a nobody. you will be taken down... day or night... no matter where u are. Mark just sings it like it is. i understand protecting ourselves, but some things just make others worse.
guess u dont understand the meaning of the song. it's in fact about wasting your time doing things to get money. its kinda murder on your life. video and song dont fit together, man..
I saw Hearts and MInds again after 25 years. Where is the anti-war movement since Obama got elected? SILENT. It's a goddamn shame cuz the wars are expanding and more people are dying. Cindy Sheehan is still keeping it real, good for her. This is a great video Thanks for posting. There are no criminals like war criminals
@xingyiboxer Where was the Anti-War Movement before Obama got elected? WTF is wrong with you? Your Fucken Government is fighting fucken wars all over and is doing that for ages. You don't need an Anti-War Movement, you need a social revolution in order to get your freedom first. Get a reality check.
Goddamn this is a dynamite song, but, while I agree with the sentiment of the video, I don't think they quite fit together. The song is, of course, about criminals (not war criminals), and most likely inspired by the Jim Thompson novels Mark Sandman like so much, and the grimey, sleazy tone of it is much better suited to that than to war imagery. Also, isn't one of these shots from a Lucio Fulci movie??
@mistabook I dont think this song is about criminals, its about selling your time working for someone, living a life that 'just aint you", or idle'ing your time doing something you heart isnt in. Murder for the money is about having a bullshit career.
It is a great song by Morphine & it makes me remember the movie Wild Things which is more about this situation than a war... mind ya, a war is the same like the movie I named above, though war is on a larger scale...
Wild Things !!!!!!!!!!
