I went to the Twin Towers for the first time in the summer of 1999, what a great trip, sad that they are not standing there anymore, it was a beautiful building.
I was there when I was 1 before those assholes destroyed it I took and elevator to the top of Tower 2 { The South Tower} and viewed down into the streets of manhattan. It was a truely beautiful sight I wish I could still go there. RIP all those who died 10 years ago.

I remember I saw the Twin Towers in December 1996. It was one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever lived. When I was at the top of the North Tower, the view from up there was absolutely fabulous. Even though I was only 6 years old, I still remember it like it was only yesterday. Thanks for the upload.

@jason66801 - I had an old VHS camera when I went to the WTC in 1994 and took video from the roof, and it did the same thing. I think the giant antenna caused the interference.

I read in my Child Guidance book at college that there was a day care center in the bottom. And every child and teacher there were saved because they evacuated the children and the teachers first.

I had a friend who visited the WTC towers a day before the 9/11 attacks. And I thought it was amazing, because she was able to see them before their destruction!
On september 4, 2001 I went when I was 6 to manhattan, and went on a boat ride and for some reason realllly wanted to see the twin towers. We weren't supposed to see them first but my parents took the boat ride for me. I remember begging my parents so that we could go in but we didn't have time. "We'll come to America another time and see them". Then, 1 week later, I remember sobbing in front of the TV in singapore. All I have now are 2 sodden pictures of the buildings left :_(.

those buildings were officially condemned...Silverstein purchased the lease with the understanding that, over the following 15 years (2015 or so), the towers would be asbestos free, employ fire sprinklers to the core, and replace the out-dated water pressure system, etc... so, those building HAD to come down one way or another. Silverstein lucked out financially, even though his 7bill came at the cost of so many innocent lives. I hope he's spending it wisely, giving to victim's families etc

I was 10 when I got home on that day... I sit on the couch with my mom and suddenly the normal talk show was interupted by the news... this was the day I saw the WTC the first and the last time ever. Building the freedom is like moving forward, I wish to see them built again. I never had the chance to see them personally. They could always come back but not those innocent people that lost their life there.

i would have loved to have stood on the sidewalk and looked up at them towering up into the sky.When i finally did manage to visit NYC in 08 it was ground zero that was in their place.All we have now is pictures and video tape of the former NY skyline.Even with the rebuilding going on it will never be the same

those buildings were officially condemned...Silverstein purchased the lease with the understanding that, over the following 15 years (2015 or so), the towers would be asbestos free, employ fire sprinklers to the core, and replace the out-dated water pressure system, etc... so, those building HAD to come down one way or another. Silverstein lucked out financially, even though his 7bill came at the cost of so many innocent lives. I hope he's spending it wisely, giving to victim's families etc

I got a little choked up at the end and in the scene when inside the building. I remember playing my Neogeo pocket games sitting outside the complex waiting for my parents. So freaking beautiful. Its not the same *whipes eyes* I want my NYC back.

i'd like to go back to anywhere back between 1993- 2003. reason being is cause the subway and bus fare was $1.25 from 1993 - 1995 and $1.50 from 1995 - 2003. its $2 now but NEXT MONTH , its gonna be $2.25
its not much and its easily affordable but still, its kinda annoying!

you will see towers, but not any of them would be a twin of another, whats very sad. I hate the freedom tower (which is gona be build) I wish there would be two similar towers that rember us to the beautifull twintowers and the bad and good times NY had with them!

I just got an answer , from a guy in NY. he said that they have decided to build the twin towers on the same way the stood . but not exactly on the same position... they dont know if they will stand in Jersey or ground zero... but if this all is true is another story

i dont think that the "old" wtc will be rebuilt at ground zero, because theres the foundament of freedome tower. i think it wont be rebuilt because it would remind the families of the victims...

I was 10 when I got home on that day... I sit on the couch with my mom and suddenly the normal talk show was interupted by the news... this was the day I saw the WTC the first and the last time ever. I saw these planes chrashing in and I couldnt realize anything, I even spoke to my mom and said that I hate action movies like this... It was a real movie too me...

Building the freedom is like moving forward, I wish to see them built again. I never had the chance to see them personally. They could always come back but not those innocent people that lost their life there.

I only saw them once in my life time and it was when i was like 7-8 years old. and i only got to see them from all the way in the bottom my neck almost broke from lookin up that high.. to me its still like a flash back when i remember the twin towers in real life.

It is unbelievable. I was 13 on 9/11 and for kids back then, the WTC were just two really tall buildings in New York -- and was all that was really special about them. But now, they represent so much more to kids your age. I was lucky that I at least was able to live 13 years with
