  • grt video M8..straight into the subject..no mucking around....now how do u grow carrots

  • nice one - good vid

What spacing are you using 1ft.?

    Cheers Russ...

  • Americans call the 'Faver' beans

  • I've never grown those type of beans and I don't know why I haven't since I do like beans alot. hmmm. Maybe I'll just rob your garden when yours ripen? :)

  • I will be making a video of my kentucky wonder pole beans they are up but i had to skip plant between the spaces where none came up.Will show them and keep you posted of their progress.I allways enjoy your garden videos. Thanks

  • From watching gardening videos from all over the world on youtube, I have noticed that sometimes, we call the same vegetables by different names. I think what you are planting there, we call "butter beans" in America -- at least in the south and west, where I've lived. And... this is autumn for you, isn't it? So, it's not a time I would think of to *start* a garden, but always thought it would be a good thing. Thanks for sharing.Very helpful.

  • @ShushLorraine - the difference being however that butter beans have next to no protein, whereas "broad" / "fava" beans are very high in protein and can fill you up for dinner with little else added to them other than a little grain and cheese.

  • @LiturgicalChants Thank you for the information! I'm glad to know.

  • i am planrting windsor broad beans here also. and the funny thing is that i live in windsor ( ontario) i never ate them before but i cant wait to see what they look like!

  • funny that it's spring here in the northern half.

  • Lemon squeezy

  • Thanks - very interesting!

  • Beans are pretty easy to grow.....unless you get bugs ;)

  • mm mine have started growing already but seem to have stopped at abotu 20 cms out of the ground. i will continue to wait and hope :P

  • I planted some broad beans last year, about 30mm deep and they were up in about 3-4 days. Would they maybe develop a better root system if I planted them deeper?

  • noooo, its easy beany

  • Thumbs Up!!

  • You are such a dedicated gardener - are those squash in the back there? I'm waiting for my Soy Beans to sprout - tried carrots this year - but my chickens got to the tapes and I think they ate them all. lol

But they left the radishes alone. Figures. lol

Like the new hair cut - miss your side burns. :?)
