He praised the Iraqi people not really Hussein. Most of the people that died in Iraq died cause of sanctions and bombings. hussein gassed some of those who tried to rise up against him but those he gased with weapons WE gave him. Remember we put Hussein in power because the guy before him wanted to Nationalize oil. You are giving Hussein too much credit.. He does what the CIA/USA want him to do.

@xMaXiMuSx you say we put Hussein in power. This is false. Many of these middle eastern countries have always had some form of dicktorships. The US was only interested in getting their oil. At the time we did not know that Saddam was going to be this brutal dictator. Nobody knew. The US did not put him in power, because Saddam was already there and we did a quick oil deal. Ideally we would prefer a nice ruler to do business with, but what can you do.

NO the CIA put Hussein in power. Most of those dictatorships are supported and were installed by the United States. USA knew exactly what type of leader Hussein would be because they controlled him until he stopped taking orders later and became a nuisance because he wanted to nationilize oil and sell it in EUROS which we would have crippled the American economy.

@xMaXiMu how can the US have known Saddam Hussain. At the time Saddam came into power he did not gas the Kurds or massacre anyone. It was only 10 years later he started massacring people. Look you cant keep pinning the blame on America for every little dictator. Ok lets take the Iranian president. America did not put him in power but look at him now a brutal dictator in the same category Saddam Hussain. Look these guys in these Muslim countries have always behaved like savages. They use to with the Shah of IRan who was brutally murdering everyone who opposed until they finally overhrew him the in 1979. Iran is not an opressive regime. @xMaXi we did not give him weapons. We sold him weapons. Which is normal practice. We also need to remember that Saddam had more RUSSIAN made weapons than American made weapons. Either way Saddam would have got those weapons.
And as for Iran, come on get real. You know that the Iranian regime is brutal dictatorship. I actually went to school with a Iranian and he told me that he would rather live under the Shah than the Mullah regime. The Mullahs brutally hanged thousands when they took over

Iran regime is not brutal but they have some very extreme religious laws that we would consider here outdated and barbaric but it wasn't too long ago that in Europe the kings were completely out of control and we had slavery here in the USA. They probably hang those who supported the shah and that they considered traitors to the country.

@xMaXiMuSx the Shah of Iran was no way in the same league as the Turkish regime. Turkey brutalised its kurdish minorities for many decades and lets not forget the massacre of the christian Armenians.
But we hardly ever criticise Turkey. The Mullahs when they took over from the Shah, they systematically hanged people without even giving them a fair trial.
Like I said these Muslim countries have always had brutal dictators. America cannot be held responsible for that.

They bombed Iraq and killed millions and still search for "Weapons of mass Destruction" wow still can't find that and they are coming back home such a shame. @bangbangsin the bombing of Hiroshima put a end to World War 2. It stopped the madness of Germany and Japan. We must not forget Germany and Japan did some terrible things. Yes I agree America have done terrible things in Vietnam.
And as for Afghanistan and Iraq, the majority of the massacres were committed by Muslims on fellow Muslims. i.e. Taliban, Shiite, Suni, Kurds etc. Its very easy to forget the cruelty of Muslims in the last 1400 years invading and occupying Africa, India, Asia and so on

@Silvertaker the Westbro Baptist church follow the OLD TESTAMENT. That is not Christianity. Modern Christianity is based on the New Testament.
The other point we need to look at is, Christianity in Europe is totally different to Christianity in America. In Europe Christians are taught to accept everyone, treat everyone as equals even homosexuals. Its a progressive religion in Europe. Where as America seem to have a more extreme version of Christianity

@xMaXiMuSx I agree it can work both ways. Muslims in America are a lot different to Muslims in the UK. Muslims are a lot more aggressive in the UK. Even the indigenous population are afraid of them. Many have even sold their homes and left areas which has a large Muslim population.
I know for a fact that Hindus and Jews are extremely frightened of the Muslim community. They would not dare pick a fight with Muslims. They tend to turn the other cheek quite often.

Yes I know other religions have done bad things. But the main religion that has caused so much harm in the world is ISLAM followed by Christianity.
