  • Very cool looking pipe. I'm Afrikaans and in my language oom means uncle, not sure if you knew, I'm thinking it might also have been named after "oom Paul Kruger" also part of our history.

  • three dong weekend haha. Very nice pipe, I'm just getting into pipe smoking and the pipe I have at the moment is a Lorenzo.

  • Hey, got the same Titano Oom Paul on eBay. Haven't tried smoking it under my chin, but it fits. Be fun to Skype with the same pipe.

  • Let's do it!!! Love to skype with you

  • whats that song being played in the background?

  • I added a text box with this info, the singer might surprise you!

  • Lovely pipe

  • that looks exactly like the oom paul pipe i have!!

  • hey pipefriend. a very nice pipe. just a word of warning- adjusting/removing the bit while the pipe is hot/lit can crack or warp the tenon or shank.

  • Flammin Zie Bowl! YAH!!

"Heck yeah! Flame, dass, was mein Freund!

    Sie sind groß.

    Lächeln! Nein-halten puffing!;-)

  • nice, i like lorenzo-pipes.

  • Great Oom Paul, I think I saw that one on ebay, but went with a boswell instead! :)

  • Another great looking pipe!

Maybe it'll scorch the beard, but you'll keep the rain out of it, LOL!

  • Ya those tools along with most pipe smoking accessories can be found in any tobacconist or "smoke shop."

But just as a side note i thought I would try to encourage you to also pick up some new tobacco from the tobacconist or online. I've smoked some of those store bought varieties, and they really don't come close to the quality of those from actual tobacco vendors.

But anyways, good luck with the pipe journey!

  • when searching on ebay how do you search? is it by brand, or type?

  • Search for Oom Paul

  • You can get them at any tobacconist

  • PipeFriend,

Do you have a drink occasionally with your pipe or not? If so, what do you have?

  • Diet coke! :-0

  • Nice one. It looks similar to the one you gave to me. Have fun smoking your new one!!

  • scout eBay daily , or is it a new pipe you want?

  • Great one, PipeFriend! The Oom Paul is the pipe equivalent to the ape hanger ... ;)

How many do you have by now?

  • 70 to 75 I think, gave several away

  • Beautiful Oom Paul!

  • Ha! I think I was the first bid on that! Then it started jumpin way up, so I quit.

Glad an awesome pipesmoker got it!

By the way, that giant Ropp pipe is here, I made a vid last night, but I didnt get a chance to smoke it yet, and my girlfriend is on her way over, so I cant really do a review right now either b/c she doesnt like "smoky" breath.Anyway, Ill probly get a review up late tonight.

P.S. Gabe smoked my other cherrywood pipe, but didnt notice anything different.

  • very nice Oom Paul. i love that shape too; there's a Paul's Cayuga Oom Paul at my local B&M. i might snatch it up!

  • Hey, I'm the first! :-))

Have you been in the sun? Your skin looks a bit red...

    All the best

    Lars

  • yes, it is 24 degrees here (celcius) and sunny

  • ... and it's about 0°C at night and 4°C at noon time in Germany... :-(

I wished that I could be with you in SC! I need the sun... I need the heat... I'm not made for living in the cold! ;-)

  • Are you German, or something else?

  • Yes, I'm german (that's why I was writing about the temperature in Germany)... ;-)
