This is my all time favorite version of this song - i know there's an edit of it out there as I first heard this on the radio in Monterrey Mexico on STEREO-ROCK 95! Way back in the late 80's...

I first hear this when I was working as a DJ at a roller rink --- they got us some new tapes (yes at the time we hadn't yet started using CD) and it was on one of the tapes.... I eventually went out and picked up the 45. I could never find the 12" until earlier this year I was looking in a used record shop and spotted it in the 12" singles bin -- it is now sitting happily in my cabinet where I keep all my vinyl.

I...LOVED...THIS...SONG... when I was a kid!!! I'm not sure how high it went on the Top 100, I just know that for YEARS later I could never find it nor anyone who remembered it! For the longest, thanks to Casey Kasem's foible, I thought the group was "New Shoes," LOL!! And you even have the EXTENDED mix, which I never heard! Bless you!!!!!!!! This song goes down like a delicious blend of Erasure, Madonna, Rod Stewart (from that era), and Paula Abdul! GOD BLESS THE EIGHTIES!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah! I was in a cover band a few years back. When we played this song, most everyone thought it was catchy. But there was always that one person in the back that would scream like a wildman (or woman) that we were playing their favorite song! Later they would come up and say wow! Not that we were that good really, just that they thought that they were the only person that liked it.

You'll never hear this on the radio ever again. Only us die hard 80's guru's remember and still love it. 1988 was chopped full of great songs and this was just one of dozens from that year! Wish the video was posted....I'll have to break into the MTV archive volt in New York! LOL

Oh how I loved to dance to this song in my bedroom in the 80's! The memories! Who remembers the cool 45's! Sometimes they would open up into big posters! This one did!l
