Some dude was going to commit suicide, in the 1980's, right before he jumped, a white dove hovered in front of his face for a few seconds, making direct eye contact and then flew off. He quit his job that same day and left everything behind. He is now a Executive pastor/Christian Counselor at a church in San Diego.
I heard him speak in 1995. He was upset and questioning God "God, are you real?" as he was standing on the ledge, that is when they dove descended an hovered, making direct eye contact with him. That was his answer. It reminded him of the passage from the Bible Mark 1:10; "As Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove"

Their entire catalog is as good as this, they are truely one of the best bands around today and they tour alot so their easy to go see. If you are on a more spiritual quest in life or just in your music, then you'll find out soon enough that these guys "get it". Their latest album is their best to date, check it out.

Switching the first chord from the main riff (Bm minor in this case) to it's relative major (D)... COMPLETELY changeing the mood of the song by simply rooting the chord on a different note than the rest of the song. A REALLY simply songwriting technique that (as evidenced by this song) can be very effective. Good tune.

This band is so incredibly talented, I don't believe they've even gotten enough acclaim and publicity. I remember the first song I'd heard by them, "Shine", and I was hooked ever since then. I love the song "Heavy". But their songs that pull at my heart strings even more are their love songs, me being all woman. "December, The world that I know, and How do you love" are among some of my favorites!

I remember watching this video in the mid 90's and being so touched by it. The 90's rock had a alot of raw sincerity to it. I miss that!

this songs will always be great...it directly strikes a persons good side and it makes u reflects some bad stffs you've done despite of this world of unfair, though your the one unfair..at the end we should do our best to help all(or maybe some?) unfortunate people and start thanking GOD for this life we have...pray man, its just a minute and be good..as what they say "it works"...and it really does..

This is the only music video i know that connects wonderfully with the lyric and the meaning of the song. Very meaningful music video. So, the guy on the building finally found the answer to life and that money is not everything. Life is beautiful. Wish i've found the answer to my life. :(

This band is so incredibly talented, I don't believe they've even gotten enough acclaim and publicity. I remember the first song I'd heard by them, "Shine", and I was hooked ever since then. I love the song "Heavy". But their songs that pull at my heart strings even more are their love songs, me being all woman. "December, The world that I know, and How do you love" are among some of my favorites!

You see, I went back to my alma-matter to party, and this 25-year old beauty from Colombia tried to sell me her body to stay in school. She was out of money, and it was either that or she had to go back home. She was obviously so nervous about it all, and I said hell no! So I paid her bill rather than buy the latest flat panel TV or whatever, and I feel great about it! She has a sick mother and she doesn't know who her father is.
