Those mikes are all fed through a sound board. Why wasn't the sound recorded directly from the mixer?
Are there any freaking professionals on the electronics? I would guess that that was a brilliant musical performance. But, we will never know unless we were there- the recording was terrible.

The sound engineers were probably also caught in the game of role-playing the medieval period. Unfortunately, however, even though medieval music was heavenly, apparently dark-ages sound engineering could have been much better...
